CHAPTER 10: Not So Happy Ending.

Present Day:

After a few days passed by, all I did was watch television and play some video games with grandma. She decided that I'll start school Monday because this week was our resting week.

My parents finally call and say that they are coming home. I was super excited. I miss them so much and this place wasn't the same without them.

I went and help grandma make dinner and then hit bed right after because the next day, mom and dad will be home.

Finally the next day arrive.

I get up, brush my teeth, take a bath and head downstairs. I meet grandma in the kitchen, as usual, whipping some of my favorites. Pancakes, bacon, eggs and some hot chocolate.

"Your parents just call and they said they will be here in an hour Chrissy." she said breaking an egg into the pan.

"Okay grandma. I'm going to take a walk around the house."

"Be careful."

I walk outside and notice the same swing from earlier. I sit on it and the wind feel so good on my neck. I also feel someone hot breath , breathing against my neck. I jump off the swing and I fall on the ground.

"What a weird feeling." I mumble to myself trying to not take it on.

I decideto go for a walk and I see the bridge. A familiar bridge.

" I know I've seen this before." I said.

I take a step and then I stared getting flashes about me already crossing this bridge.

"What the hell."

I run across to see if it made a difference. Then I come upon a whole wide field. I always thought something cool would have been here. Like another house. Guess I was wrong.

I run back to grandma and tell her everything since she believe in ghost.

"It's probably just the wind dear." she said.

"Yeah probably."

I watch television until I hear a car pop outside.

"There're here.!" I shouted.

I run towards the door and open it. And with wide arms, mom and dad give me the biggest hug ever. I got lots of kisses and love from them both.

"I miss you." mom and dad said..

"I miss you too guys."

We walk inside and sit on the breakfast table. Grandma Brin gout her delicious dishes and serve them.

They all taste so good.

"What did you all did while we were away." Father asked..

"Well when you left, we basically played board games and watched movies and... And..... What again? It seems that I can't remember it all." I said giggling slightly and then show a worried expression.

Mom and dad face also show a little worries.

"Haha. She means that she can't rmemever them right now. But we will tell you all about it later." Grandma said nervously.

What was that about?

I must say, it was rather strange about me not remembering everything what I did these last few days. Did I hit my head?
I stay quiet and eat my breakfast as the grown ups talk.

Grandma POV:

" I've decided to let Chrissy start school Monday. I give her this week to adapt to the environment."

"That's a good idea mom. I know she's gonna love it here."

"Well excuse me you guys, I'm gonna visit a friend. I'll be back later."

I walk a little while until I come upon a ancient house. More old than my daughter's. I knock and Maria open the door and greets me.

"What are you doing here so soon?" she ask me.

"I come to tell you that you were right. My grand daughter was the next seeker. She didn't need all that time you said for her to destroy The Unknown." I told her excited.

"Well that's great. She will be become a great seeker."

"Well she didn't want to and I know she made a mistake but I strip her powers and memories. Well so she think. I only banned them from her body until she reaches 20. When she does, her powers to see evil will return and she Will become a great seeker."

"Nice work Bee." Maria said giving me high five

Maria is my best friend and she gave me this nickname since I was in high school. I don't know what I'll ever do without her.

"Let's go for a drink." I demand.

"Let's go."
