Corbyn's P.o.V

My alarm went off and I grumpily got up, the events from yesterday flashing through my mind.

I really need to talk to Jonah today at school and ask him what's going on.

With that thought I walked into the bathroom to take a shower, brush my teeth and change.
"Ash, are you ready?", I asked her since I always took her to school with me.
Usually, Jonah would offer to take both of us in his car but from what happened yesterday I figured he wouldn't want that today.

"Almost! Just two minutes, okay?"

I rolled my eyes at her answer. "That's what you say every day...", I sighed, grabbing my phone from the nightstand and lifting my backpack off the floor before heading downstairs and making two sandwiches, one for me and one for Ashley.
I also packed an apple to each sandwich and put my lunch packet into my bag, leaving Ash's on the counter.

"I'm hereee!", she yelled startling me.

"I can see that. Here", I gave her her lunch.

"Uh... thanks? Why are you in such a bad mood though?"

"I haven't talked to Jonah since yesterday...", I said frowning, "he hasn't responded to my texts either. You know what? I don't even care!"

"Yeah sure, keep telling yourself that...", she scoffed.

"Shut up, let's just go", I told her, annoyed.

Just as I had parked the car in the school's parking lot and Ashley was opening the door of the passenger seat to get out I saw Jonah standing in front of the glass building with two boys.

One of them was brunette, rosy-cheeked and looked a bit like Jacob Sartorius. He was on the soccer team and one of the popular guys but I didn't know his name.

The other boy who Jonah was talking to had curly hair which looked like noodles. I recognized him as one of Jonah's baseball teammates. He was also in my biology class and I think his name was Jack.

"Oh my gosh, stop staring at them. You literally look like a creep!", Ash said facetious.

"Ha-ha. I can't help but wonder, what if Jonah is fed up with me and has replaced me with new friends? More popular friends...", I sounded desperate. Almost pathetic.

"I'm not gonna lie to you, it kinda does look like it", she said hesitantly.

"Gee, thanks so much. I feel a lot better now!", I rolled my eyes at her and got out of the car, too, walking around to Ashley's side.

"Glad, I could help you", she replied sarcastically, "but seriously if he is replacing you, he's an asshole because you're great and if he doesn't appreciate you he wasn't worthy of your friendship after all", she finishes her speech smiling gently.

"Woah, I didn't know my sister was such a philosopher!", i stated amused before smiling and pulling her into a side hug, "thanks though, but I'm not as good as making new friends as he obviously is", I said gesturing to where he was still standing, now laughing with both of them.

"Shush, you'll get there. I promise I'll help you find someone better than him!", she said hooking her arm with mine and dragging me along, "now come on, we still have 5 minutes before I need to head to math", she mentioned the subject while making gagging sounds.

"I wish I had math right now", I pouted, "but instead, I have stupid english!"
I knew she liked english classes. It was one of her favorite subjects after all. I just couldn't stand it. I liked math better, which made us real opposites but we still managed to get along perfectly.
