Pearl The Poor Lamb

(10:35-13:29)

Sonic groaned as he began to come back to his senses. The little lamb sat next to him. Still trying to wake him back up.

"M-mister? Hewwo? Mister? Are you awake?" The little girl asked, holding the small stuffed animal in front of Sonic. He groaned again, 'what is this?' He asked himself in his mind. Continuing to groan and he looked around at his surroundings. Letting his eyes get used to the bright light.

"Ohh, right, how long was I asleep?" Sonic asked with an exhausted and a
slight raspy voice. She looked down at him with slight worry.

"Not for long, you've been out for a couple of minutes" she replied. Sonic sits up with a smile. That smile he gives to people to help lift their spirits.

"Sorry kid if I scared you, it's still not easy to run with just one eye" Sonic smiled, rubbing his head.

"M-sir, m-mister, mister, a-are you alright?" She asked sheepishly. Looking at the hero worryingly.

"I'm fine, don't be worried, what about you?" Sonic asked the little girl. Being sure of her being fine as well. She smiled with her response.

"I'm also fine!" She smiled. Sonic stood up with the girl. As she stood up as well.

"Glad to hear, I will take you to a better place now, you will be safe there" Sonic told her.

"Okay" she responded . Sonic picks the girl up and runs toward the place where they kept the rest of the saved citizens.

Amy stood at a boiling pot full of soup. With a line of children and adults holding bowls. Ready to have some food after the hours of having to run out of the city to get away from the robots and fire.

"I swear to god if your gonna touch this soup while I go around you will get to know my hammer" Amy warned to the boy in front of the line.

"But miss we are hungry" he complained. Amy grew aggravated at the boy, but held herself together.

"You are not the only one who is hungry. The meat in the soup isn't cooked yet, and I don't want to have to deal with little brats with stomach pains" Amy paused. Giving that small evil smile that scared people to do as she wished. "Or do I look like a maid to you?" She asked.

"N-no ma'am" the boy stammered, 'definantly not'. Amy smiled approvingly.

"Good boy" Amy complimented. Turning to the right to go around to the rest of the citizens. Sonic walked up with the lamb in his arms.

"Hey Ames!" He called out. Amy gasped and turned around with a smile. Happy to see her hero.

"Hey Sonic! I'm happy to see you again, and I see you brought someone with you" Amy gestured to the little girl in Sonic's arms.

"Yup" Sonic replied with a smile. Setting the little girl on the ground in front of Amy. Amy bent down in front of the girl.

"Hello my sweetie, what's your name?" Amy asked with a sweet tone. Looking down at the girl with a heartfelt smile.

"Pearl" the girl replied. Amy smiled a brighter smile at Pearl.

"Nice to meet you Pearl, my name is Amy, ah I see you have a friend my your side, can I also know his name?" Amy asked. Pearl looked down at her stuff bunny.

"H-His... his name is Bun-Bun" Pearl replied, showing Amy her stuffed rabbit. Amy looked at her in awe just as a mother would.

"What a lovely name like yours, you must be cold my sweetie" Amy paused to take her shawl off. She wrapped it around Pearl. To get the little girl warm. "Here, take this for now" Amy offered. Pearl held it around her abdomen. She started to weep and cry for her parents.

"Mum, dad!" She cried.

"What?" Amy looked at her with an understanding but hurt expression. She felt sympathy for her. Bending down, Amy wrapped her arms around the girl and picked her up. Letting Pearl cry into her shoulder.

"I'm sure their ok, don't be worried" Amy assured Pearl. She turned and began to walk away with Pearl. Sonic held out his arm to reach for Amy.

"Amy" Sonic slightly pouted. Amy turned toward Sonic with a teary smile. Holding the girl tightly, yet gently.

"Thank you Sonic, for saving this child" Amy turned back around and walked back to the pot of soup. Sonic stood there, not able to utter a word. The color of sadness stained him as he stared at Amy with hurt shock.
