Good Luck Sonic

Sonic turned around and began to walk toward the tent. Slowly and sadly as he told his mind why he was sad. Explaining to himself how useless he felt. 'It felt like she would have told me why I could not save the whole world' Sonic said to himself on the inside in sadness.

I Felt So Useless...

Sonic lifted a hand to open up the flap closing the tent. Ducking his head under the flap that only lifted up so high. Inside a candle light lit up the small room. Who held Shadow and Knuckles.

"The time has come, it's either today or never. Are the buses ready to start?" Sonic stated, ending with a question. Letting go of the flap, he stepped inside with the other hedgehog and echinda. Knuckles had both hands laid flat on the table, using the wood for lazy support.

"There aren't enough buses. We'll make sure everyone can escape from here" Knuckles replied with a calm yet normal tone. Sonic stopped two feet away from the table Knuckles and Shadow stood at.

"I see, I also don't know if there are many people left. We should send another group to the city, to be sure" Sonic spoke. Shadow stood behind the desk with his arms crossed, ready to reply and add himself to this conversation.

"Espio and the other guys are still in the city, I will also go now to save some citizens" Shadow added with his deep and mesmerizing voice. Shadow walked out from behind the table and walked toward the front of the tent.

"Good luck!" Sonic called out to Shadow. Shadow stopped to reply.

"I don't need luck faker" Shadow rolled his eyes, getting ready to walk out to go help.

"Um, where are you going now Sonic? We could use you here ya know" Knuckles asked. Sonic sighed, this was true. They could use him here, however Sonic knew what he needed to do. No matter the cost.

"I got somethin' to do on my own" Sonic replied. Knuckles gasped as his eyes widen, he knew exactly what Sonic meant. He knew the price Sonic might have to pay.

"Y-... don't say" Knuckles stuttered in utter shock and fear. Sonic knew how dearly his friends cared for him. But it was something he knew he had to do. "IT MEANS YOUR DEATH!!"

"Not not really" Sonic replied with no expression. Knuckles growled with anger. It was what he does when he feels scared. He felt too great and didn't want to lose his pride for being scared. So instead he showed it off as anger.

"Oh really? Ok, good, let me kill you first! Before you go!" Knuckles shouted. Shadow stood there in fear, yet he never let an ounce of it be seen. Sonic held up a hand to keep Knuckles from getting too close. 'Calm down boy'

"I will not hold you back, if you want to go then do it now because we only have a few minutes before this city is destroyed. Me and Knuckles will go save some citizens" Shadow added to the conversation. Sonic gave a small smile to Shadow. Who returned it with a frown.

"HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT THIS!?" Knuckles shouted at Shadow. Shadow turned his head back toward the tent entrance.

"I don't" Shadow responds. Knuckles knew this was a lie. However it slightly wasn't.

"Of course you do! You just wanna see him dead! Am I right?" Knuckles shouted. Shadow slightly opened his eyes and gave a small smirk.

"Heh, maybe" he replied. Turning toward them with a hand on his hip.

"I swear, i'm gonna kill you both" Knuckles groaned. Putting a hand against his chest, Knuckles looked back at the blue hero. "I will go with you Sonic" Knuckles offered.

"No, to save the citizens has top priority Knuckles. It is bad enough that I am not around" Sonic replied, trying to convince Knuckles. His protective friend, who's eyes widened at Sonic's reply.

"But Sonic, we could-" Knuckles was interrupted by a furious voice. Coming from the blue hero that had become aggravated at the Echidna.

"ENOUGH! We lost way too much time right now. Every minute is important for us. So STOP TALKING AND START TO ACT!" Sonic shouted. Knuckles stared at him with a blank expression.

"Say Sonic, are you an idiot?" Knuckles asked. Adding a little humor to the conversation.

"Yeah, most of the time" Sonic replied with a smile. All three give a smile. Shadow chuckled to the conversation.

"Well that explains a lot" Knuckles smiles. Shadow chuckles again with a warm smile on his face. Sonic turned around, his head looking at Knuckles and Shadow.

"Hehe, see you guys!" Sonic waved good bye to his friends. Walking out of the tent, this might being his last time seeing them.

Running through the fields, Sonic rushed toward Miles's location. Amy passed out the hot soup to the hungry citizens.

"It's still hot so please be careful" Amy warned them. She heard the zoom Sonic creates when running. As it began to snow, Amy looked up. Facing the direction to where Sonic had run. She gave a worried look.

"Good Luck Sonic..."
