Being home completed me in a way that made me contemplate all of my life choices. I could transfer back to the local university in Santa Barbara to finish up my senior year and switch to a major that I actually loved. Harry would graduate early in December and be back here full time. It was a perfect idea. I felt whole again having the one constant in my life never leave my side for an entire week and I didn't want this feeling to fade. Harry and I became inseparable. Ice cream at the pier, arcades, and sleepovers staying up half the night. When he was at work, I stopped by and Nan filled me up on donut holes. We were 16 years old all over again.

My delights did have their lows. I also spent the last week regularly and strategically avoiding Liam. It mostly worked, but we did manage to have an awkward run in at the supermarket with my father. Liam was forced to play nice. He still blabbed on some nonsense about Harry being my boyfriend when he cornered me in the dairy section alone. I grabbed the chocolate milk and ran.

Saturday was finally here and Harry hadn't kept quiet about it at all. His friends from back home were finally visiting him in the states and we were their designated tour guides. Tonight would begin the festivities.

I kicked my feet out of bed and immediately tripped over a black garbage bag. Thud. I really needed to put my things away. Harry was kind enough to move my bags in for me the morning after our first sleepover, but I was too lazy to put them away. Everything was in the exact place that he left it.

"You're finally up," Nat poked her head in the room and squeaked. "It's almost 2."

"Are you serious?" I rubbed my eyes, still in a half sleep haze.

"Yeah," she smirked at me before walking in. "Harry stopped by this morning to ask you to ride to the airport with him, but he didn't want to wake you up."

I groaned. I had totally forgotten I'd promise to take the hour long trip with him to the airport.

Nat sat on the bed and lifted a perfectly groomed eyebrow at me.

"So what happened when you first got back? You still haven't told me. It seemed like you guys weren't cool and then you were spooning on the floor the next day."

"No, we weren't. Girl, shut the hell up," I laughed. Like any hot-blooded woman, I knew Harry was attractive, but we would never cross those lines. I just didn't think of him in that way. "We're good. It was just...a lot. He's messing around with Christa and I got mad about it because he didn't tell me until I saw them together."

"Christa? Raggedy acting ass Christa from way back?"

"Yup. Her. It's complicated, but we're good."  I didn't want to harp on what Harry and I were going to get past. "How are things with you and Louis?"

"So good, sis," she fell back onto the bed and wrapped her arms around herself. "He asked me to move in with him."

"Oh shit, Nat," I leaned back and joined her. "That's serious. It's been two years and I think that's good timing. Are you going to?"

"I think I am," she smiled. "I've been wanting to get my own place, but it would be so much cheaper to have a roommate. So why not have a roommate that I'm also banging, you know?"

"You're such a freak."

Nat rattled on about all the reasons why living with Louis would be great and how much she loved everything about him. I took it as an opportunity to grab my phone and check in with Harry.

Me: just woke up. sorry i didn't go with you to the airport.

Me: did they get settled in?
