I'm sorry it took me awhile to update. I was so busy with work that the only time I got an available time is this long weekend. Anyway, enjoy this part 3. I made it extra long for you guys to enjoy. Let me know your thoughts and feedback.
*The four times Jennie asked Lisa to pick her up and the one time she doesn't have to.*
************************************************
Jennie woke up feeling exhausted, the events of the previous night finally weighing on her. She lay staring blankly at the ceiling, gently patting Kuma, who was curled up beside her, contemplating her plans for the day. With no agenda, she figured she would just spend the day at the dorm. It was 8:23 AM, and the other girls were likely up preparing breakfast. She could already anticipate Jisoo's barrage of questions about last night, and she wasn't sure she was ready for that. Just as she decided to stay in her room a little longer, a loud knock startled her.
"Get up and have breakfast. Don't make me come up there again," Jisoo called from outside. With a groan, Jennie got up. Jisoo had a tendency to be motherly when any of them were struggling. Jennie vaguely recalled how Jisoo had fussed over Lisa when the Thai member was going through a tough time. Back then, she had been preoccupied with her relationship with Kai and hadn't paid much attention. Looking back, Jennie regretted not checking in on Lisa. She knew she hadn't handled that situation well, leaving it to Chaeng and Chu to deal with.
Heading to the bathroom for her morning routine, Jennie checked her phone, hoping for an apology from Kai. To her disappointment, there was nothing. She shrugged it off, putting the phone down as she brushed her teeth.
Once she finished, she went downstairs, carrying Kuma with her since she knew Dalgom would be with Jisoo and the two dogs could play. In the kitchen, she saw Chaeyoung making pancakes. She set Kuma down, and he immediately dashed around with Dalgom.
"Good morning, hubby," Jennie greeted Chaeyoung. The blonde looked up and smiled.
"Good morning, Jennie-yah! You're just in time. Breakfast is ready." Chaeyoung pointed to a plate beside her. Jennie's eyes lit up at the sight of pancakes adorned with a smiley face made of chocolate syrup and topped with strawberries.
"Thanks, Chaeyoung-ah," Jennie said as she grabbed the plate and sat down.
Rośe giggled, causing Jennie to look at her in confusion. "As much as I want to take credit for that, it was actually Lisa who made it for you," Rośe said gently.
Jennie chuckled, knowing how clueless Lisa usually was in the kitchen. It was amusing that her parents were excellent cooks while Lisa struggled. She appreciated the effort Lisa had put into the breakfast. "That's really sweet of her. Where is she, by the way?" Jennie asked Rośe, but before the girl could respond, Jisoo walked into the kitchen.
"She left half an hour ago. She had a lot to do today and won't be home until later tonight," Jisoo said, sitting down next to Jennie. Jennie felt a wave of seriousness from Jisoo, making her nervous.
"Jisoo-unnie, let Jennie eat first, okay? You can interrogate her later. The pancakes are getting cold," Rośe interjected, breaking the tense moment.
"Alright. You eat, and I'll be in the living room waiting for you. You coming, Rośe?" Jisoo asked while getting up.
Rośe shook her head, signaling for Jisoo to go on without her.
Jennie let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding when Jisoo addressed her. She smiled gratefully at Chaeyoung and continued eating.
"Jisoo-unnie seems really bothered by what happened last night. I couldn't calm her down, so you really need to tell her everything. It's mostly for our peace of mind," Chaeyoung said kindly. Jennie nodded, silently agreeing.
