Chapter 12 - The Feelings

I suddenly felt Hikaru's hand overlap mine. I slowly looked back up at him as he pulled me into him and....

He kissed me. It wasn't forceful just... Soft.

'W-what is he doing?'

My eyes widened with shock for a moment but, for some reason, I quickly relaxed and slowly closed my eyes.

'What am I doing? Is this why I didn't know how to react? Is it because deep down I knew I liked him, and I didn't know how to react to it all after we both knew?'

I felt our lips part. It was short and sweet.

"W-what was that for?" I questioned, knowing my face was defiantly more pink than the ribbon on my uniform.

"Just an impulse I guess." He said blankly. "Sorry."

"N-no don't apologize. I-its okay." I stuttered.

'It was actually really nice...'

I could feel his eyes burning holes in the back of my head before he gently pulled me into his embrace.

"I think I get it now." He began. "Why I felt so nervous and shy around you. Its cuz I... I guess I..."

"Its okay. You don't have to say it. I understand" I told him. "I...I feel the same way."

He instinctively hugged me tighter. It felt so warm and comforting. So much so, I ended up falling asleep.

When I woke up, I looked at the clock.

2:30pm

'Half an hour until the host club starts.'

"You're awake?" I heard a voice.

I was once again filled with warms and comfort when I remembered. I looked up to meet eyes with Hikaru.

"Yeah." I said quietly.

"Do you wanna get something to eat?"

"Okay."

We slowly got up and headed to the kitchen.

We ate lunch it silence. It wasn't awkward, but it wasn't exactly calming either. It was somewhere between. Where we could say something or not but it would be peaceful either way.

'I feel like I should say something but... This quiet is kinda nice... To just... sit here with him and think...'

I looked over to Hikaru, who just so happened to look at me at the same time. I felt my face blush and I quickly looked away.

'Why am I acting like this? Is it because of the....'

Recalling that memory made my face go even more red, if that was even possible.

Just as I finished my sandwich my phone suddenly rang, almost making me choke.

"Ah Kino!" Hikaru jumped up to help me but I managed to swallow back down.

"I'm okay!"

"Hello?" I answered, starting to calm down more.

"It's Tamaki. I thought I told you to be back in time for the club?!" His voice echoed loudly.

"Oh crap. Sorry, I totally forgot. Be there soon." I told him. "Do you want me to bring the others?"

"If they can, that be great. Or otherwise Kyoya's gonna go all accountant on me." He joked.

"Okay. I'll asked 'em. Bye"

I hung up the phone.

"Who was it?" Hikaru asked.

"Tamaki-senpai. He wants us at school for the host club. Kyoya's getting all moody." I told him. "You feel like going?"

"Sure. Why not? I'll go get Kaoru."

"Okay. I'll be waiting outside."
