Chapter 1

"I used to think that the worst thing in life was to end up alone... it's not.

Third Person's POV

The bedroom door smashed closed as an angry girl drop her bag to the floor.

She slid down the door and bursted into tears.

"Come out again when you decide to act your fucking age." The girl's mom banged on the door and her angry footsteps were heard walking away.

The girl looked up as her tears streamed down her face. She was tired of this.

She had just come home from school using her skateboard which everyone judged her for.

"Skateboard?... That's for children."
Her mom had said when she asked her family to buy her one.

"You should act like a grown up. You are not a kid anymore." Her dad had yelled before storming to his room.

She lived in a world where she was never allowed to be herself.

Whenever she was happy or excited, she would yell out and jump up and down, her eyes would shine as if she'd held the whole galaxy inside of her.

A galaxy that was too much for her family to bear.

She never felt loved or accepted. She never felt happy. She was alone.

In this whole world she was alone.

She pulled out her phone and earphones, turning on Euphoria by Jungkook, a sad smile made it's way on her face upon hearing the song. She moved to her bed and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Banging on the door woke her up, terrified for her life. She pulled her earphones off and listened again to make sure she wasn't dreaming.

Again the banging on the door made her heart race, she slowly got up from her bed, terrified as to who could be behind the door.

She opened the door to reveal her angry brother. He was so angry and she had no idea why.

"What did you ask for today?" He asked her and she gulped. If there was someone more terrifying than her dad in this world, it would not be ghosts or monsters, no... it would be her brother.

"A s-skateboard." She stuttered slowly backing away from him.

"How do you even dare to ask something like that?" He hissed raising his hand as if he was about to slap her. She flinched and kept backing away.

"How much more embarrased should I be to have a childish sister like you? Why don't you ever act your age but act like a fucking kid, and listening to those fucking chinese boys?" Her brother yelled and she felt herself getting angry.

Not everyone who's asian is chinese.

"When are you going go grow up?" His brother pushed her head making her almost fall to the ground. "You are 19 years old, act like one." He spoke in a very annoying tone almost mocking her, which made her blood boil.

Her eyes held fire as she glared at her brother. "You should stop putting your fucking nose into my life. I do whatever i want and I act however i want," He was surprised at her courage to speak back at him and honestly so was she, but she had held back for too long;

"If you want me to act my age then so should you, get rid of those fucking video games and go out looking for a job. You're 23 and still being fed off of mom and dad. If there's someone who should grow up, first one should be you." She said slamming the door and locking it before her brother could even react.

Her brother started banging on the door, clearly after his ego was hurt. But she... it felt as if for a long time now... she laughed.

She started laughing at her brother's shocked face, at herself for being strong and actually speaking up to him in real life rather than making comebacks in her head.

She laughed, as if almost losing sanity.

But after the door broke down she knew what was coming, as her laughter died down, her smile vanished, and her tears made a return.

As she got abused by her brother and father, before she slipped into darkness, she thought of what made her happy the most... music... Kpop.

"I wish I was never born." she whispered, but she became so lightheaded, everything was going slow motion.

She looked out of the window and wished upon a falling star... Hoping that, the universe would have held a little bit of magic for her, as she slipped into darkness.

This is the story of Eleanor and her wish upon a star.
