I love you means a lot

"Hey, Natsu."

"Yeah, Gray?"

"I love you!"

The pink haired cutie's eyes widen in shock. After 3 years he hasn't said 'I love you'! Yes! Three years. Natsu has said it plenty of times however, Gray not even once. This is because he hated saying that since everyone he loved either died or left him.

He hated when Natsu said it to him and would just ignore him. This broke Natsu's heart and made him tear up. However, he understood and never got mad at Gray just a little sad. He occasionally felt Gray didn't love him. Gray knew this so he began showing Natsu he loved him with different ways.

For example,

He would make him drawings and buy him things.
He would hug him, kiss him, and do everything he wanted.
When Natsu said he wanted a baby they adopted a baby girl who would come to their life in a few months.
He asked Natsu to marry him. They'll get married in 3 months just 2 months before their baby comes.
Gray always said things that showed affection and love which didn't include 'I love you.'
Gray truly loved Natsu with all his life and this is why he didn't say those three words. He didn't want his Natsu to leave or die. He was terrified, scared, and sad that he made his Natsu sad when he didn't say it back.

This time he will because he trust Natsu will be okay and won't leave him. Now that everything is perfect and they'll soon be married and have a baby.

Now back to where we were.

"I love you.", he said with true affection grabbing Natsu's wet hand that was washing dishes. Then all you heard was the Faucet gushing out water. Natsu closed it and faced Gray saying, "W-What? Gray, you really said that?!" Gray nodded kissing him and said, "Yes, I did my love. I'm not scared you'll leave me because I know you love me and I love you. We're getting a baby soon maybe even more in the future and I want us to be a happy family. I don't want to see that sad look with puppy eyes when I don't say 'I love you.' This is because I truly love you with all my heart. I don't want you to leave me or die but, I trust you you'll be with me forever."

Natsu smiled with a red blush invading his whole face. He had happy tears rushing down his cute chubby cheeks. "Gray, I love you!!", he yelled jumping into Gray's arms. Gray wrapped his arms around his baby while Natsu wrapped his legs around his waist. "I love you too! I love you! I love you! I love you!"

Natsu smiled feeling so happy. He didn't need Gray to say 'I love you.' However, oh my how much he wanted it was insane. He feels so glad he was patient and now he felt so loved so happy!

Sorry this is short! I'm working on two stories and I don't know why I don't have interest in it. I love writing but I have just been feeling weird.
