Chapter 7~Official~

The Next Day~ Friday

Marinette woke up extra early the next morning and got ready for school. She wanted to get to school early so she could meet up with Adrien when he got there and to look her best for when they announced their relationship to everyone. When she went down, she ate a quick breakfast and ran to the school. There were only a few people that were already there. She situated herself on the steps of the school intently waiting for her kitty to come to school.

Adrien had woken up at the same time as usual. He ate breakfast and got ready for school. He got into his car and headed out. Alya and Nino had arrived before Adrien had. They were surprised to see Marinette there on the steps of the school.

"Hey, girl!" Alya called to get Marinette's attention.

"Oh! Hey, Alya, Nino!" Marinette said waving back at the both of them. Alya ran over to Marinette and dragged Nino along with her. They sat down on the steps with Marinette.

"What are you doing at school early?" Alya asked as more people walked past them and into the school.

"I was going to meet up with someone before school started." Just as she said that, Adrien's car pulled up.

"Who is this mystery person? Do I have to be worried?" Alya asked.

"Don't worry. You'll find out right now because they just arrived," Marinette answered as she left the stairs to go meet Adrien.

"You think she finally did it, Als?" Nino asked.

"From the way they're holding each others hands, definitely." Marinette and Adrien walked up to the couple.

"Hey, Alya, Nino," Adrien said waving at them with his free hand.

"Sooo. Do you two have anything you want to tell us?" Alya asked pointing at the intertwined hands.

"You didn't tell them yet?" Adrien asked looking at Marinette.

"Nope. I wanted to wait for you so we could tell them together."

"Alright, princess. Ready?"

"Yup!"

"Alya, Nino. We are dating!" They said together.

"Congrats, bro!" Nino said patting Adrien on the back.

"Congratulations, girl! I knew that you could do it!" Alya said hugging Marinette.

"Thanks," Adrien and Marinette said together. The four of them entered the school together. As they walked into the classroom, Alya and Nino raced up to where Marinette and Alya would usually sit and sat down. Marinette and Adrien were forced to sit together where he and Nino usually sit. The rest of the class started rolling in behind them. Whispers could be heard in the classroom as each person walked in and saw Adrien and Marinette still holding hands on top of the desk. Once everyone was in their seats, Adrien and Marinette stood up in front of the class before the bell rang and Mlle. Bustier would start class.

"We are dating!" they announced to the class. Cheers could be heard from all corners of the room for the new couple. Everyone was happy for them except for Chloe who was a bit annoyed and distraught at the thought of losing her first crush but she came around later that day since she saw that her childhood friend was happy with Marinette. Lila had finally returned to the school from another one of her trips and she was immediately all over Adrien again since she missed the announcement. She went up to him and started flirting with him. Marinette immediately shut her down by pulling Adrien into a kiss. Lila stormed off. Adrien texted Kagami that he and Marinette were now dating. She was sad at first. After all, she had fallen for Adrien as well, but she was happy for them especially Marinette since she finally took her advice and didn't hesitate. Marinette texted Luka the news though he kind of already knew from Juleka and he was happy for them.
