Lance was just looking out of his bedroom window wondering how his childhood friend date went. He wondered if she was home yet or still out with lotor having the time of her life. What he didnt expect was to see his childhood friend kneeing in the middle of the street sobbing her eyes out.
Without even thinking he ran out of his house straight towards her before kneeing beside her and his heard stopped as she looked up to him with teary eyes. She was in pain and before he knew it he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a tight warm hug. She cried into his chest before calming down in his arms.
"Pidgin" He whispered unsure and she slowly looked up.
"he kissed allura" she mumbled in a low voice.
"what" Lance yelled.
"he .. dating allura and thought i just asked him out as friends" she muttered and lance wiped her tears away with one hand while still holding her close with the other.
"oh Katie" Lance frowned.
"he bought her along since he wanted me to meet his girlfriend and she wanted to meet his only friend that doesn't get into trouble. I acted like a good friend and lied half way during dinner saying my brother needed me back home. He got a girlfriend" she cried and lance pulled her into another hug.
"I'm so sorry Katie but its gonna get better" Lance muttered as he stroked her hair gently.
"maybe its just my luck in men" she grumbled in Lance hold.
"what do you mean" Lance asked unsure.
"well lotor reminded me of my first love. Handsome, flirty, funny, kind and made me feel special .... i feel for him even though i knew he wasn't the man i really loved" she mumbled and lance looked to her.
"i never got to hear about your first love, i heard about your silly small crushes but never your first. Who was it pidgin" Lance asked with a small smile.
"you really are an idiot, everyone in middle school knew and even Keith could tell who i wanted to marry when he first joined our school" she sighed and looked to lance.
"wait your liked them since middle school" Lance asked shocked.
"yep, i didnt understand it was love until high school tho" she frowned.
"who was he" Lance asked with a small frown.
"i give you a clue, he was my first kiss" she smiled sweetly and lance blushed.
"me" Lance whispered and she nodded.
"always have, it seems i got a type" She smiled gently and looked into lance eyes.
"then i better confess" Lance grinned shocking her.
"confess" She asked.
"well i always liked a certain cute badass girl and well i didnt understand the feeling at the time so i hid away from her by hanging out with others. Then time i understood my feeling was love she already had a best friend by her side and was in love with someone. I wanted to make her mine but i was scared" Lance replied with a small smile
"lance" she whispered with her eyes shining under the stars.
"i love you Pidgin" Lance smiled warmly and placed his hand on her cheek.
"i love you too lance" She smiled warmly and their lips joined together.
"took you both long enough" Keith sighed as he stood behind them with his phone in his hand recording the two and taking photos.
"Keith" Katie smirked at her friend who shrugged.
"really man" Lance grinned and the two stood up holding hands.
"hey, blame stupid for me coming over since his mum was worried he ran out to do drugs and asked me to check on him but what do i come to find a certain two friends hugging and confessing" Keith smirked and put his phone away.
"thanks for checking on us but as you can see we great" Katie smiled brightly.
"yeah, i couldn't be anymore happier" Lance smiled sweetly and kissed Katie cheek.
"aww so cute, now get to bed since lance your still got club pratice tomorrow while me and Katie watch to perv on the guys" Keith smiled as he crossed his arms.
"guys" Lance asked with a teasing grin and an eyebrow in the air.
"i am dating James who also on the team remember, im Bi not gay" Keith replied and Lance just nodded.
"well, why dont we walk to pratice together" Katie asked with a soft smile.
"sure i love to show of my new girlfriend to the team while Keith makes out with James" Lance grinned.
"sounds good to me, we meet up on the corner at nine" Keith sighed.
"night" Katie smiled and stole a kiss from Lance before walked to her door.
