Chapter 5: The genin teams

Fuyu's POV

"Yes, I want to become a Konoha citizen and a shinobi for the village." I answered as I did my best to keep a straight face while inside my mind I was getting really nervous.

Hiruzen:" Wonderful! I'll get the papers ready and I'll have an anbu come and get you when I have them."

Fuyu:"Thank you Hiruzen-san. I'll see you in a bit then." After I said that I turned around and started walking back to my apartment, but little did I know that I had a small, barely noticeable smile on my lips.

----------Timeskip to Apartment---------

Fuyu's POV

Fuyu:"Shiro! I'm home!"

Shiro:"Welcome back Fuyu. How was your visit with the Hokage?"

Fuyu:"It was fine considering the fact that we now have a permanent place to call home."

Shiro:"Really? Does that mean we no longer have to move from place to place?"

Fuyu:"Yep. It's official as soon as the Hokage and I get the paperwork done we won't have to worry about that anymore. "

Shiro:"Awesome! Maybe we can find a new family to call our own while we're here!"

Fuyu:"Maybe, but try not to get your hopes up. We don't know that for certain."

Shiro:"I can't promise anything. But in the meantime, you should head to bed. It's getting late and you have to head to the academy tomorrow to find out what team your on."

Fuyu:"True. I am pretty tired. Goodnight Shiro, I'll see you in the morning."

Shiro:"Goodnight Fuyu."

----------Timeskip next morning----------

Shiro:"Fuyu, Fuyu, it's time to get up. You have two hours before you need to head to the academy."

Fuyu:*mumbling*"Five more minutes."

Shiro:"Fuyu, come on. Today's the day!"

Fuyu:"....."*Wakes up quickly*"OH! Today's the day where I find out what team I'm on! I need to get ready."

Shiro:"About time you got up. I've been trying to get you up for about an hour. You're a very heavy sleeper when you want to be."

Fuyu:"Sorry." *sweatdrops*

I ran to my closet to grab my clothes which consisted of a baby-blue crop-top with a dark grey fishnet shirt underneath, a pair of black jounin pants, black combat boots, and a dark grey jacket wrapped around my waist. Once I had my outfit I went to the bathroom to take a shower. After I took a shower and got dressed I made some breakfast for Shiro and I. Once I was done eating I washed the dishes and brushed my teeth and groomed Shiro. By the time I was done with everything I had 30 minutes left to get to the academy so I grabbed my apartment keys and left for the academy with Shiro by my side.

---------Timeskip to the academy---------

Fuyu:*walks through the classroom door*

Naruto:*Sees Fuyu*"Hey Fuyu-chan! Hey Shiro!"

Fuyu:"Hey Naruto. How are you?"

Naruto:"I'm doin' good! How are you?"

Fuyu:"I'm fine, but I have something to tell you during break."

Naruto:"What is it?! Can you tell me now? Pleeeaaaase!!"

Fuyu:"You'll just have to wait and see."

Naruto:*pouting*"Awww, Fuyu! You know I can't wait that long!"

Fuyu:"Well too bad! I'm not telling you just yet."

Third Person POV

Iruka:"Alright class, attention please."

*The class continues to talk*

Iruka:*gets ticked off and uses the big-head jutsu*"QUIET DOWN!!!"

Everyone:*goes silent*

Iruka:*back to normal*"Thank you. Now, as you know, once you have officially become genin you will be split up in teams. I have a list of said teams so I will read them out loud. Once you know who your teammates are along with your sensei you all will wait here for your sensei to arrive. Let's begin. Team 1..."

Iruka:"...And due to uneven numbers team 7 will be a four person group along with one sensei. Team 7 will be

Naruto Uzumaki
Sakura Haruno"

Naruto cheers at this, while Sakura pouts dejectedly.

"Sasuke Uchiha"

Naruto is now the who is pouting, while Sakura cheers.

"And finally,
Fuyu Kitsune with Kakashi Hatake as the sensei."

Naruto cheers aloud, Fuyu just continues to pet Shiro.

*After Iruka is done assigning the teams*

Naruto:*turns to Fuyu*"Isn't this great?! We'll be on the same team!"

Fuyu:"Yeah, it'll be good to have someone I can actually talk with while on missions."

Naruto:"I can't wait to see what we're gonna do when our sensei arrives!"

Fuyu:"I have to admit that I'm a little excited to see as well."*turns to Shiro*"What about you Shiro, how do you feel about this?"

(Forest: Remember, only Fuyu can understand him)

Shiro:"Just a little bit. I'm more curious to see who your sensei is."

Fuyu:"Ah, that's a good point. We know nothing about who our sensei is so we can't be sure we can trust him. Guess we'll just have to wait and see."

----------Time skip 3 hours----------

Naruto:"ARGH, THATS IT, ICANT WAIT ANY LONGER!!!"*goes up to the whiteboard and grabs an eraser the puts it on top of the door way*

Sakura:"WHAT ARE YOU DOING NARUTO-BAKA?! YOU'RE GONNA GET US IN TROUBLE!!"

Naruto:"Maa, Sakura-chan, calm down. It's not like it'll hurt anyone."*whispers to himself*"Plus this'll teach him to not be so late."

As this goes on the door opens and the whiteboard eraser falls directly on top of Kakashi's head as he's walking through. Everyone just stares in shock as he speaks.

Kakashi:*removes the eraser*"My first impression of you all? I don't like you. Meet me on the roof in 5."*shunshins (forest: sp?) away*
