"Surprise!" I shouted as I barged into my girlfriend's apartment.

Ironically, I was the one surprised after seeing her on top of a butt naked guy.

To avoid further embarrassment, I turned around and shut the door. But then, I realized that it was rude of me to leave without apologizing or bidding farewell to the lovely couple.

So I turned around and opened the door again. A vein almost popped when I saw them continuing their ritual without a shame. "I'm sorry for suddenly barging in. I'll just leave this here. Now, I'll be on my way, take care." I said then left the bouquet that I was gonna give her.

Then again, I remembered something. "I'll actually take this on second thought and please do not be careful and live a miserable life. Goodbye." I said after returning in the room --- and still seeing them in the same damn position --- then took the bouquet and left them a curse instead.

I didn't know what I was feeling.

Well, maybe I do, I just don't want it to sink in just yet.

My girlfriend cheated on me. Damn.

I thought to myself after getting inside my car, then I started to cry like a real man.

"Hey honey, it's Mom. If you hear this, call me back. Okay?"
*Beep*

"Dude, it's Lance. I just got back, let's meet for a drink sometime this week, 'kay? See ya." *Beep*

"Hey dufus, it's Sky. Give mom a call for Christ's sake." *Beep*

"Hey... Spencer, it's me, Stacy... The things that you left at my apartment will be sent to you in a few days. And Spencer... I'm sorry. I really am. I wish you could let me explain." *Beep* My telephone said. Funny, my telephone sounded like my ex.

I have to set a reminder on my phone to throw away my phone later, it seems broken.

I almost jolted when my phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered while taking my breakfast. I still have a few minutes before going to my job so I am leisurely eating a fancy breakfast of bread with butter and a cup of packet coffee. Deliciously instant.

"Have you heard the news?" I furrowed my brows at what my sister asked. No hi, no ho, and she's already asking me vague questions.

"What news?" I asked then took a sip at my delicious coffee ----ghak too bitter---- ahh so delicious.

I should drop by the grocery store later to buy groceries or at this rate, I'll live like a caveman.

"Aunt Caroline passed away." She replied. My listing of groceries was cut abruptly by her sudden news.

"Who what?" I asked, stuttering.

"I'm sorry, Spence. I know you're the closest to her." She said apologetically.

"Wait—I asked you, who what?" I said again, still not registering what she said.

She sighed on the other line. "Spencer, Aunt Caroline died after fighting cancer for 4 years. Is that what you wanted to hear?" She said, a little impatient. I let out a breath, exasperated.

"No. I just wanted you to repeat what you said, not make it worse. Dumb sister." I snapped at her then hanged up even before she can finish her apology.

How can I not snap at her when she rubbed salt to the wound that she literally just gnashed me with?!

After staring at nothing for a good few minutes, it finally hit me. Aunt Caroline is now gone. The only person who made me feel like I have a home is gone.

I tried to stop my lower lip from quivering but I couldn't, so I started to cry like a real man again.
