Together forever

As I slam the door shut Maddie is already getting the place ready for questioning time,

I laugh to myself, that's why Maddie left.

I stand there looking inpatient as Maddie is running around full speed getting everything we need to do this.

I tap my foot on the wooden floor.

"Done!" she says as she falls into the chair.

I clear my throat and she jumps up

I let the boy slide from my shoulders as I bend down to put him on the chair

I get the wooden string of some kind; Maddie always seems to have it lying around.

I tied his legs to the legs of the chair his neck to the back and just as I finished one of his hands and start for the other, he stirs in his "sleep". I still know it will be aleast 10 more minutes for the amulet to wear off.

As I am tying the other wrist I say to Maddie with a hint of questioning to my voice

"It's weird how were immune to wood, don't you think and how it is deadly to other vampires?"

And I pull both the strings of the rope tight making a statement.

"I know! I always wondered that, hey, could you go and get the other chair from up stairs?"

"What! There one right there" I said pointing to the one the boys on

"Come on Charlotte you're not that lazy are you?" she said rising one blonde eyebrow

I gave her my "death glare" and flipped my hair and started for the stairs

I going to walk slowly I say as I take turtle steps up the first stair.

I could feel Maddie's gaze on my back

Every step I take me feet echo through the house. I'm bored I thought to myself and then yelled it out to Maddie.

She always thinks I act like a kid but I don't see it.

I get to the top of the stair case and look around 7 doors.

Oh boy, I say.

I slide my feet across the floor, my hand reaches for door number one I open it the door squeaks slightly its brighter in here than anywhere else in the house. I glance around and there are no chairs, there only a few photographs of me and Maddie over the decades.

And this happens to door number two, three all the way to 6

I finally get to door number 7 and as I am reaching for the doorknob.

I hear crashing down stairs and Maddie's piercing scream break through the house; I am running full speed down the stairs when I reach the bottom I look around the chair the boy was in is broken in two there is blood on the ground, just as I hear Maddie say watch out. I get hit in the back of the head and I see the ground rising up to meet me, I have failed Maddie I say as the blackness swallows me in.
