Chapter 7

Together forever

 

The world around me went black; I fell into a place in my mind so dark, that it even scared me,

Complete darkness, I've never really seen COMPLETE darkness, when I'm sleeping in my room there's always a light coming from the hallway, or at night the moon and stars always shine bright, but this darkness scared me

I got up and ran, but I ran into more never ending darkness,

What is this place? I'm starting to get really scared, I try and wake up, but I can't,

I collapsed and let out a scream, and then the pictures come flooding toward me.

One, a little girl with icy blue eyes and long black hair put into braids. She's running from a man, Xavier. Tears are streaming down her face, she's yelling for her mommy but mommy can't protect her anymore, he killed her minutes ago. memeriors of mommys neck whipping to an impossible angle,

all her family dead in a matter of seconds

 

A flash

 

The same girl only taller and more defined rummaging around the streets looking for something to eat. The man standing at the end of the ally, staring at her, her screaming and running away.

In utter shock she recognised that little girl was her. Only this time she was Charlottes age, which meant that still could have been over 3 centuries ago. Her screaming out in pain, half her blood gone to him, and half his blood in her, she had tried not to swallow it, but to die choking scared her. It ending up burning her throat when she tried to spit it up, she could feel her body fighting it with everything it had, but it was useless.

"It will only be worse if you fight it, little charlotte." Xavier yelled at her. Wiping off his blood from his wrist onto his pants.

She looked up at Xavier with blurry eyes and yelled back at him

"Why me! you chased me for 17 years! You ruined my life! And killed every one I ever loved!" Sobbing uncontrollably now.

"I didn't want to wonder this world alone." He said acting innocent

"There has to be a reason." She whispered suddenly very tired and weak. She was thinking to herself that she didn't want to be like him, she wanted to be a normal human being, and she didn't run fast enough, he caught her, she felt more tears spill out.

"Oh little Charlotte, you will know the reason when I come and get you" Xavier said smiling showing his fangs, which were covered in her blood.

It disgusted her so much she had to look away.

He grabbed her by the chin and his finger nail digging into her chins, pulled her jaw to make her look at him. Into his changing eyes.

"Don't you look away from me!" he said yelling into her face.

Then he whispered.

"One more bite should do the trick" and his fangs were touching his bottom lip, he used his tongue as if to test their sharpness and then lashed forward puncturing my neck. I had no more energy to scream I just lay there limp in his arms and I felt my blood, my life, my soul flow easily into his mouth.

 After about a minute my breathing slowed and my heart was putting up a fight to stay alive, but the room was spinning and spinning and grey dots dance over my eyes.

I hate you; I hope I said it out loud.

"You'll thank me later" he mumbled on my neck

"I hate you" I whispered one last time.

Then my breathing stopped and my heart gave one, two beats before finally accepting defeat.

And that was the last time my heart will ever beat again, as human.

I was being licked on my hand, and I heard a little whimper.

I could feel my tears still running down my face.

I mumbled and opened my eyes, slowly. I blinked a couple times making my vision clear and took in my surroundings;

I was lying on a bed, a king sized, with brown silk covering me. There was sunlight streaming from on top of the red curtains. There was a faint smell of pine needles. The room looked like a hotel room.

Just as was about to smile, I remembered what woke me out of my terrible dream, I threw the covers off me and was across the room in less than a second, my chest was heaving, when I looked around the room everything looked normal, then I saw the blanket I threw off the bed moving, after a struggle of what was under there finally got out, my mouth dropped open in surprise, because who came out of the blankets was Blizzard my Great Dane puppy.                                                I dropped to the ground and opened my arms, so that the puppy could jump right up, I felt tears streaming from my eyes. I petted him and said over and over that it'll be alright,

I forgot who I was trying to convince me or Blizzard.

        I found his blue leash hanging on the door handle, I clicked it on his collar and said shh since he was whinning to get outside, I opened the door and peeped outside, the hallway was empty except a maids cart outside, I wondered if this was a real hotel.

I gave a snug on the leash and Blizzard came running out with his long legs going everywhere.

I snuck along the wall, holding Blizzard and ran along the side till I was at a set of stairs, I looked around and nobody was still there. I ran up the stairs fast, the carpet making my footsteps soundless. When I looked back down stairs and smiled I started to walk when I bumped into a maid, there was shock on my face but not hers.

"Oh please accept my apologies, miss Richards" she said passing by

I grab her by the shoulders gently

"Um, uh where am I?" I ask politely .I knew I had a big question mark on my face

"Las Vegas, miss Richards" she said as if to try and finish the conversation

"Thank you" I said feeling dazed, I stumbled on forward.

        After about 3 minutes of wondering around, countless turns and stairs, Blizzard started barking like crazy, then I turn in the direction of which Blizzard was pulling at, and I came face to face with Xavier,

"Going somewhere?" he said with a smirk on his lips
