Chapter 6

Together forever.

 

 

Okay so this is the deal, when you are a vampire, and you go to a mall ruled my night people without their permission, well let's just say, all hell breaks loose.

Maddie shuts off the car and puts the car keys into her stylish purple fake leather purse.

I look at my dark green stylish real leather purse and laugh.

I look at the mall and jump out of the range rover, landing gracefully on my feet, I take a deep breath, and I smell the pizza baking, smell the chlorine of the indoor pool and see all people rushing around, talking on their blackberry's while hauling their kids, who are screaming to stay at the mall.

 

I look at Maddie and she's locking the door and running up to me,

"Soo, what are we going to do here today, charlotte?"

Maddie asked with wonder in her green, blue eyes.

"Uhh, I don't know, maybe get a bite, go walking around, and go to someplace special"

I said saying the last part slowly.

"A surprise! Oh my gosh!, you know how I love surprises"

 

I laugh at her as I hold the door open for her, she walks in still babbling about what were going to do at the mall,

See the surprise is to try and get a puppy for Maddie, that's just what she needs somebody that will love her, besides me and be there for her, besides me.

 

As I walk into the main entrance of the mall, I feel the area around me suddenly change, making a chill run up my spine, and making a little voice in my head say, turn around while you still have time!, I tell it to shut up, I'm not ruining Maddie's day.

As were walking down the hallways passing stores, I see victoras secret, oh my god just what I need,

I turn and start walking backwards, I look at Maddie

And say, "hey, could we take a looky in there" as I point my thumb in the direction of the store,

"Sure, I need a new "outfit"" she said as she laughed.

As we walk into the store, I'm instantly hit with the strong smell of lavender, so strong that it burnt my nose,

 

I just ignore it and walk around looking, letting my fingers trail over the underwear and bras

I spot one that I just love, its lacy and black, I run up to it but it's above my head, I reach and I'm just a couple inches too short, I look around and jump, I jump to high and the item I want is at my belly button I grab it on my way done, I land with my knees slightly bent. I look around one more time, and see a sales clerk with one of those long metal things to get clothes down that are too far to reach,

Her long curly orange hair makes her wide grey eyes pop I knew she saw what I just did; I walk up to her and watch her flinch away, and I feel a pang in my chest, I never felt sorry for a human before.

I shake it off and look into her frightened eyes, I know that my eyes has gone waves of slivery, gold and I say

"You didn't see what I did, I got you to grab that item for me, alright"

"I don't know what you did, and I helped you to get that" she repeated in a dazed voice

"Good" I say looking away from her toward Maddie whose coming toward us with a pink lacy bra and underwear, I smile at her
