Selene's POV
"Ah..Selene I-I-I" Ray repeated for the fifth time.
Ray are you going to complete it or shall I go cause I really don't have time for your stammering right now.
"Selene I just want to say that..that"
That what?
"That you are very brave."
Huh!! You were practically wasting my time just to tell me that I am brave??
"No..I mean yes, you are very brave. Also you are very independent and a strong woman who knows how to deal with people. You have a very strong personality. I really like you as a person. And I also look forward to you." Ray blabbered.
You kidding me. You think am a fool. Go away I don't have time to play with you. Find someone like you.
"But am serious. I mean look at you and Ana you both are like sisters but mark my words she is dumb and you are even brighter than a star."
You know the girl you just called dumb, can even die for you. She admires you and you are calling her dumb. Shame on you.
"Oh hello! I think someone forgot that a few days ago you were the one shouting her naive and stupid in front of everyone. She does things like that and proves herself worthy of the title. Can't you just focus on the praises I did for you?"
I can call her anything, OK? As you said we are practically sisters. But yes, your right she not just seems to be but actually is dumb. You know what she did yesterday?
"She is always doing something silly. What did she do now?"
Somebody sticked ' SLAP ME ' behind her. As people started reading, they started slapping her. She practically grabbed one man's wrist and told him to slap a bit down from the previous place. He asked why and she replied since you are doing this do me a favor repeat this a bit down I can't reach there myself and it is itching from some time.
Ray started laughing. He said between his laughing fit " Ooo man! How come I missed that. This girl is surely something. She insulted that man very cutely."
Oh no she doesn't. She just made a fool of her in front of everyone without even realizing.
"Leave her. We were talking about you. I really appreciate the way you carry yourself."
What do you want Ray?
"So you caught me. Huh"
Obviously. Now spill it before I change my mood.
"I just wanted to ask for a favor. Justin's baby sister is here in the town for a few days and we need someone who could company her. Me and Ana are busy in the practice and we can't leave her alone only at risk of Justin as you know how careless he is. His mother especially asked me for keeping her around but I really am busy. So..can you spare some time?"
So you need me to babysit?
"No..not babysit she is a grown up girl. Just 3 years younger. You need not to stress much. Its just that this place is new for her and we can't keep her around boys all the time and you and Ana are the only female friends of us and Ana is stuck with me. You just have to show her around or do shopping..something like that"
I will agree only if I get to do shopping on your card. All the expenses will be paid by you.
"Yes why not. I can do that. So you agree?"
Yes why not. Who can deny free shopping.
"Thank you so much. You are the best."
Ray hugged me and sprint off.
"You know what it just confused me more. I mean Justin told Ray to propose Selene, then why did he asked her to help him babysit?"
That is because when he said propose he meant to propose a deal with her, not your romantic proposal.
"Okay...so why didn't he do it himself. I mean it was simply a deal not an actual proposal So why Justin literally forced Ray to strike a deal with her?"
Because Justin knew something what nobody among us noticed.
"And what is that?"
Selene liked Ray, just like me.
"Wow.....that meant Justin knew Selene would have never refused Ray. So he sent him so that they could corner Ana away from Selene to make their plan work. This is just wow. This Justin guy surely got some brain. But then what he meant by if she gets to know she will be running to you spilling her guts?"
That is something for tomorrow. I am tired now. I want some peace. So please let me rest. Bye
"No wait. Finish this first. You can't leave me in suspence"
