Today is the day, uuwi na sila kleise at brent sa Pinas. This would be the first time na mamemeet nila ulit si Ricci after what happened.
It was 7 in the morning when Ricci and I went on a grocery shopping, hindi kase kame nakapagstock ng enough food.
Sobrang abala namin ni Ricci, hindi kame ganoon ka galing pagdating sa pagluluto kaya nagsesearch kami online para naman mayroon kaming guide in case na mali na pala ang steps na ginagawa namin.
"Babe what do you think?" Ricci asked, He was watching the video tutorial of how to cook Lasagna.
"I bet that would work, yan na ata ang easiest tutorial na napanood natin." nakakailang videos nadin kame, gusto sana naming magluto ng lasagna, garlic bread, at chicken wings. Iyan kase ang ilan sa mga paborito naming kainin noon ng barkada nung college pa kame.
"Do you think they'll like this?" Ricci worriedly asked.
"Of course they will." I smiled.
"Excited kana?" patuloy na tanong ko kay ricci habang hinihiwa nya ang mga sangkap na gagamitin namin sa pagluluto.
"Medyo." sagot nya sabay bigay ng isang maliit na ngiti.
"Bakit medyo lang?" tanong ko sakanya.
"What if hindi na sila sanay na kasama ako?" "What if hindi na kagaya ng dati yung bond?" "What if hindi ko maalala yung mga bagay na maari nating pagusapan mamaya?" he continued.
I held his cheek, "Babe you see, nothing is permanent in this world. Every second maraming nababago, all we can do is ride on the tide and play with the waves. You don't need to worry about not being able to remember certain things in the past, if you truly cherished that moment, your heart will voluntary speak for it. Nakalimutan mo naba? Brent has been there for you, siya yung best bro mo sa whole team diba? So why bother about the bond. It was already tested during our teenage years, kilala ko si brent. Meeting you again would make his day a lot more better trust me. So wag kanang mag overthink okay?" I smiled as a finish speaking.
He held my hand on his cheek,"Thank you." He mouted.
"For what?"
"For making it sure that everything's gonna be alright, na no matter how fucked up things could get you'll stay. I love you Loyre." he kissed me.
"You don't have to thank me for the things you deserve, if you aren't sure about what future holds let me remind you that whatever the outcome could be I'll still be your girl." I kissed him back. "I love you, Always and forever."
Finally everything was cooked, nakaligo na rin kame ni ricci at rashaun.
Minutes later the doorbell rang.
"Coming." I calmy said.
Marahan kong binuksan ang pintuan at tumambad sakin ang dalawang taong importante sa buhay namin ni Ricci.
"Bestieeeee!!!!" malakas na hiyaw ni kleise kasabay ng mahigpit na yakap. Wala paring nagbabago kay kleise, maingay at full of energy parin sya. I wonde if she'll remain this way kapag we are old enough at may mga rayuma na kami.
"Ughhhh, namiss kita ng sobra sobra!!!" patuloyna banggit neto habang hinahalikan ang aking pisnge.
"I missed you too." I told her as I tightened up the hug, napansin kong tulala si brent sa gilid.
Marahan akong bumitaw sa mahigpit na yakap ni kleise at lumingon sa aking likod.
Nakatayo si ricci sa may gilid at nakatitig kay brent.
And for a second brent walked in inside the house and hugged ricci.
"I never thought it would be possible for me to see you again sahia..." He hugged him tight.
"A-akala ko hindi na kita mayayakap ulit, makikita, makakasama. Fuck!" he continued.
I could see the reaction of ricci, "I guess forever duo talaga tayo?" He hugged brent back.
Kleise and I laughed.
Seeing our partners reunite and talk after years made our tummies fly. Naalala ko yung first day namin sa university ni kleise, naalala ko kung paano ko ninais magtago kay ricci. Naalala ko yung times na si kleise kilig na kilig kay brent sobrang... Saya na makita kameng settled na sa mga taong napili naming makasama noon.
Moment had passed and Andami na namin napagkwentuhan, just like the old times pakiramdam namin binalik kame sa nakaraan ng lahat.
"So what are your plans now?" Brent asked.
"well, as of now the only thing we wanted to do is spent time together. Sobrang tagal nawala ni ricci sa tabi ko, sa tabi amin ni rashaun." banayad kong wika matapos kong inumin ang tsaa.
Someone's pov.
"Kamusta ka ate?"
"I've been... Doing fine, I guess?" Pilit na sagot ng dalaga.
"Ate, we couldn't go back and change the past. It happened for a reason, some things are meant to cross out paths and..."
"separate ways soon?" mapait na sabi ng dalaga.
"Ate there will always be a certain reason why things ended up the way they did." francine said.
"on days wherein I couldn't have a clearer vision, on days wherein I was kept on the darkest points in my head. He came in with a light on his hand, he shed a light for me. On days wherein I couldn't even love myself, he loved me. Francine, on days wherein I don't have anything to offer he still loved me. He looked into my eyes as if I was something, something he could be proud of having. If our roads crossed just to separate, hindi ba napaka damot naman ng mundo kung ganon?" malungkot na banggut ng dalaga.
"Ate, deep down in your heart is an unbeatable warrior, you are stronger than your thoughts. I believe in you ate. Please do not stay where your boundaries and comfort zone collides." francine said.
"ate someday, someday it would all make sense. Balang araw magiging masaya ka ulit, andito ako andito kame. Tutulungan ka namin bumangon."
"if I went through and chose to forget, I will be forgetting everything right?"
"You will ate." Francine calmly said.
"And perhaps that is the hardest thing to deal with, turning back to what makes you happy. The only thing I ever wished for was for us to be happy."
"Ate, if you'll stay you'll end up losing yourself more and more. As days went by you'll lose a strand, I don't want to lose you." francine shed a tear.
"Could I keep you in my dreams?" binanggit ng dalaga mula sa kanyang isipan.
