Collision of the Truth

Chapter 1 - The Island

"Man, I can't wait to go to Mistica Island!"

"Yeah! I'm going to catch all the Pokemon I can find!"

"Why don't we have a race?"

"Sure, why not?"

Two boys were running up to the deck on Callisto City that was headed off to Mistica Island, an island nearby the Galar region that many say it is basically a region of it's own since there are Pokemon there that don't populate much other regions. Their names? Ash Ketchum and Gou Vallian. Along side them are their Pokemon partners; Pikachu and Scorbunny.

As Ash and Gou raced to the deck, there was an entire crowd that was boarding the boat to Mistica Island. The boat was still a big one, but tickets sold out by the next week they were announced. Trips to Mistica Island were very rare, and the only way to get there is either by a helicopter or by boat. The popular choice? A boat.

Ash and Gou managed to receive tickets after completing a small tournament held in a city not too far. Ending with Ash being the victor after a close battle, he was able to get two tickets for Mistica Island. If either won the tournament, both would still be able to go, but they decided to go all out with their Pokemon.

"Haha! I win!" Ash exclaimed as Gou was a couple feet away, still running.

"Aww man..." Gou pouted as he reached Ash. Ash decided to turn around and walk through the crowd, but when he turned, he saw something unexpected. It was a girl with an orange-colored hair, tied into a small ponytail at her left side. She had on a red bag with two black straps made out of smooth rope. Her clothing consisted of a yellow crop top with navy shorts that stopped atop her knee. She had on shoes that were a black color, followed with white markings.

A person that Ash knew all too well.

Misty Waterflower.

"Hey, Misty!" Ash exclaimed. the girl turned around to face Ash, revealing her crystal blue eyes.

"Hi Ash! Long time no see!" Misty exclaimed. She was very happy to see Ash once again, with his raven hair sprawled across his head, his auburn eyes, everything that made Ash's appearance stand out.

"Hm? Hey Misty, who is this boy?" A female voice asked. Misty turned to the woman, and replied, "This 'boy' is Ash Ketchum, you know?"

For a moment, the woman stayed silent. "The one I talked to you about?"

"Oh, you mean your boyfriend?" the woman replied. Misty's face started turning a soft pink, then immediately faded to a red color, signalizing she was blushing.

"MOM!! FOR THE LAST TIME, HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!" Misty shouted in anger. Ash looked confused at Misty's reaction, as he didn't know what Misty was so confused about.

"Ash, who is this?" Gou asked Ash as he reached him.

"Oh, this is Misty, the one I traveled along with in Kanto, Johto, and the Orange Islands!" Ash answered.

"You mean having to take care of you, especially that time when you breathed in Stun Spore?" Misty teasingly said.

"HEY IT WASN'T MY FAULT THAT TRACY WAS BY THAT VILEPLUME!"

"Well Tracy is more careful than you whenever it comes to Pokemon!"

"Oh really?! Then what about you?!"

"I am more careful than you--"

"Alright, that's enough you two!" the woman boomed at the two. When shouted, everyone that was in the crowd faced the ruckus that was going on. The woman's face flushed a very soft pink, meaning she was embarrassed.
