Connor
.........................................It was 7 pm. 4 hours after we had come home from school. Casey had gone up to her room to take a shower while it was still light outside. I had tried so many times to turn on the emergency generator, but even that didn't work.
I found a flashlight from one of the drawers in the kitchen and headed down the basement. Hopefully there were some candles down there. But just as I reached the last step, I heard the door click behind me. Oh no! I ran up the stairs and tried to open the door. It was locked.
My hands jumped to my pockets, but I suddenly remembered that my phone was dead. Now what?
Casey
......................................When I had gotten out of the shower and got my clothes on, I went downstairs.
"Connor?" I shouted. There wasn't a reply. "Connor!" Still nothing. Where could he be? Just then I saw a note on the window, the one I always look out of when I'm nervous.
Lock Up;)
Lock up? Connor would never write something like this, but it was in his handwriting. And the smiley face was even creepier. He never draws smiley faces. But, since I have always trusted him, I did what was asked and started with locking the window that the sticky note was on. I hurriedly walked around the house trying to lock anything that had access to the outside.
When I was sure that everything was safe. I plopped myself onto the couch in our living room. Now I just needed to find Connor. Maybe he went outside to buy some candles. Or batteries. We had run out of batteries a few days ago. But he wouldn't just disappear like that without letting me know. I tried to call him from my cell, but my phone shut off right as I was about to click on his name.
