You are not in love. You are possessed by her and it is growing inside of you like a disease each day you watch her. She never asked to be your obsession.

That day we started a new part of our journey from pack to pack. Next stop was the Vega pack. I didn't care that they were big or powerful. As far as I was concerned that just meant more and better alcohol. We had a routine and I would stick with it. If they didn't want me to think then I wouldn't.
It was the same old routine when I hopped out of the bus to go see the party. What wasn't normal was when a man came over and scooped me up into his arms. Everyone kept there breath held while I tried to squirm my way out of his grip.
"Mate, my darling. Everybody your Luna has been found." Said the man as he put me down and raised our hands up. While they cheered I yanked my hand out of his and ran. I knew I wouldn't make it far but I was sending a message more than anything else. I didn't want this and what better way to show it than by running.
I was chased and I knew I would be. I ran through the trees and then a wolf appeared in front of me. I turned and sprinted the other way. I could see wolves everywhere so I quickly scaled a tree something I knew I would probably be better at than the wolves. They didn't seem to like heights. I was at the top of the tree before I knew it and I felt calm for the first time in months. The cold air whipped at my dress, making me feel so alive. I looked out over the forest and it was stunning.
"What are you doing?" Shouted the man who held me earlier from down below.
"Having my last taste of freedom!" I yelled clinging to the tree. I had a fair point because from that day on I would be his. Even if I would never believe it they all did.
"Jump and I promise I'll catch you."
"That's kinda what I don't want to happen. You promise to get out of my way and I'll jump. Until then you can fuck off."
I didn't want his hands all over me and I certainly didn't want him to think he was the one to save me. The back and forth went on for a good hour until we agreed that he would get out of the way.
I felt the air rush around me as I jumped out of the tree. As I landed I rolled along the ground to break the impact before running off again.
"Give up. We are going to catch you no matter what happens."
He may have been right but I wouldn't give him the satisfaction. If he wanted me he would have to full-on tackle me to the ground. I was tired and sore and I missed home. I missed the tiny island I grew up on and the home that I grew up in. I was tackled to the ground and it was over.
"I'm so sorry Luka," I whispered as the man lay on top of me. Grazes covered my hands, legs, and arms. I curled into myself as he got off of me. I missed Luka. It was Gage's fault he was dead and I just wanted him in my arms. I didn't want to go back to that nice house with him when the world had turned to shit. Never would I ever play housewife to any werewolf.
The man threw me over his shoulder and a lot of wolves walked beside us as he carried me back to his home. I was tired so I let him. There was nothing cute about being thrown over someone's shoulder. All the blood was rushing to my head and I wanted to walk but there was no way they would let me walk after I had run twice.
No one was talking and I was happy. I just wanted to fall into a bed and sleep. Bloody werewolves were making me soft. There was no fighting or hunting for food or running through the woods. It was boring and I was becoming unfit because of the bloody wolves.
We made it back to the house eventually and my head was pounding. The house was nice enough but in truth I was more concerned with how the bed felt. I was finally placed on my own two feet when we reached the top floor.
"This is where we will be sleeping tonight." Said the man and I fully laughed in his face.
"I'm not sleeping with you. If you won't be without me then deal with it. You are not sleeping on the floor next to the bed or the couch. If you won't spare me a room I will happily sleep outside."
"No, you won't." Said the man clearly not believing me. I laughed at him and walked out of the house. After I walked around the house for a minute until found a hammock chair. As I curled up on the chair it wasn't comfortable but it was better than a lot of previous sleeping arrangements I had before.
I woke up in the night cold more than once but I stayed stubborn and closed my eyes. It wasn't like the island where it would stay warm in the night. I was never too cold so I just drifted back to sleep with ease.
"What is wrong with you? You could have died! It's too cold for a human just to spend the night outside in spring." Shouted my mate as I was waking up. He threw a few blankets on me but I just shoved them off as I got up. I hated him already. He poked and prodded for questions as I walked into the kitchen where a whole load of people were standing around.
