It was an unusually hot day. Most of the survivors had changed after being informed that today's matches had been cancelled and they were given a break. Half of the survivors struggled to find a way to cool down in the heat, as it was quick to heat up certain rooms.

Oddly enough, the seer refused to change out of his robe. It was obvious he was dying from heat, but nonetheless he didn't change.

He was currently in the dining room along with the other survivors. It was lunch time and those who were chosen for lunch duty quickly served the other's. Eli cringed as he had to wipe the sweat from his forehead. The heat was becoming unbearable at this point.

[Y/n], who was on lunch duty that day, placed a plate in front of him and looked at him. Concerned for his health, she gently placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Eli, isn't it too hot for your robe? Are you okay?"

She blushed slightly as he turned his head to her. He gave her a reassuring smile, for once grateful that it was too hot to tell that he was blushing.

"I'll be fine. After lunch I'll head back to my room. "

She sighed and nodded her head. She let her hand fall to her side. Eli took in her outfit. She wore a black crop top and shorts with her usual [f/c] hoodie around her waist. Her [h/l] [h/c] locks seemed to glow in the sun as her [e/c] eyes lit up at every small thing. Her cheeks, he noted, were tinted a rosy color.

She smiled at him and that made his heart flutter. He smiled back and watched as she continues placing plates of food down for the others. The seer couldn't deny the fact that he had fallen for her.

Despite having a fiance, he loved another woman. It didn't matter anyway, the marriage was forced upon him by his parents and of course his church.

He didn't notice that he was lost in thought until he heard her voice calling to him.

"Eli? Are you sure you're okay-?"

Eli looked up from his now empty plate. She sat next to him, like always, and currently they were the last one's at the table.

She was leaning over the arms of the chair, giving him a perfect view of the way a drop of sweat rolled down her neck into the space between her breast. He blushed immensely, trying to rid of any sexual thoughts. He gulped and nervously smiled

"Yep. P-perfectly fine-"

She hummed, unconvinced.

"You've been awfully quiet.. "

She softly spoke.

The unbearable heat was only getting worse for him.

"J-just the heat-"

She pouted, clearly unpleased by his lies. Why wouldn't he just tell her what's up? The seer noticed she was unconvinced but he suddenly stood from his chair. He cleared his throat

"I-I should.. Go back to my room. I'll check up on you later, like always you know?"

She nods. She also stood up, both of them leaving the dining room and separated to their rooms.
