*3rd Person POV*

"Are...you sure you don't wanna go inside?"
Zenitsu Agatsuma asked a quiet Y/N sitting at the gate of the school. Y/N shook his head "no" as a reply.

It's a habit the boy does frequently, and mostly because he doesn't know the way to his own classroom since he has a very poor sense of direction.

Many didn't really wanna help him due to how anti-social he is, much like Tomioka Giyuu.

However, he is unusually popular due to his looks alone and how "mysterious" people claim for him to be, but the truth is...he's just an airhead. An airhead with a bad case of social anxiety.

There were only a few people who could get him to talk comfortably though, even if he limits his answers to one or two words.

Like...

"Ah, Y/N!"

Y/N looked up to see Tanjiro along with his sister and Y/N's seatmate, Nezuko.

The quiet boy only waved as a reply which resulted in Nezuko doing the same.

"Waiting for Sensei again??"

Y/N nodded.

"Alright then, I'll leave you to it! Let's go Nezuko!"

His bread-loving classmate nodded at her brother and they left to go to their individual classrooms.

After a few more minutes of waiting, she heard a familiar voice...

"Y/N!!"

"Kanae Sensei..." Y/N stood from his position and waited until they made it.

He's really lucky that Kanae is the teacher for his first subject, which is biology.

"You're always so early, Y/N kun." said Shinobu with the same serene smile on her face.

Kanao remained quiet, they just shared a nod of acknowledgement before minding their own businesses.

"Is it bad...?" Y/N asked with his eyes growing a slight sad look in them.

"Ah, no. It's great actually.."
Teasing Y/N is normally a no-no zone for Shinobu since he reacts to them like he just got betrayed. But she tends to forget at times which often results in them getting such a sad look from the boy that it's unbearable.

"Shall we go then, Y/N?"
Kanae proposed while patting her student's back.

Well, they consider him to be a really close friend more than anything.

Kanae was the first to meet Y/N as he missed her class for two weeks. She thought he was sick only to find out he's been trying to locate his classroom only to find it on like...the 4th class when a kind soul finally decided to help him.

That kind soul being Tanjiro since Nezuko is a classmate of Y/N and Tanjiro normally dropping off Nezuko to her classroom, so he knows where it is.

Then the next day, Kanae went to school extra early and waited for Y/N, when he finally arrived, she introduced herself to him and helped him to his classroom.

Kanae thought this was a one-time thing, then the next day, Y/N was the one who's waiting for this time. Sitting by the gate quietly as he waited.

He'd grab unto her sleeve as this was a way for him to not get lost.

And of course, he's bound to meet Kanao and Shinobu at some point.

Their meeting was awkward though, Y/N refused to speak at that point in their lives.
