In the last book, we were introduced to the Super Human, (Y/N) (L/N). His dream is to become the God of Destruction of California and to overthrow the current God of Destruction, Obi Matriarch.
Before (Y/N) trains with Obi, we meet (Y/N)'s best friend, Dereck, his crush, Maddie, and his bully, Ethan.
After school one day, Dereck and Maddie walk home with (Y/N). Once Dereck leaves, (Y/N) reveals his dream to become a God of Destruction. Upon hearing about this, Maddie reveals that it's her dream to become the Creator of California. With this information, both agreed to help each other out with their careers.
We then get introduced to Obi Matriarch, the strongest and probably laziest God of Destruction in the U.S.A and his angel, Asia Ventura.

After submitting their forms, both (Y/N) and Maddie are given an orientation of the program and a tour of Obi's impressive mansion. Here they meet Obi's pets: two Hellcats named Beerus and Nala.
