Chapter 7: Distant

James's Point-Of-View

It was blurry, his eyes focused on the screen drawing all his enegry out, he called it "Crunch-mode" apparently, he looked over at Floof laying on the couch feeling the eye strain killing him.

He has been busy lately, there will be scribble showdown happening sometime soon...he can't remember, work always get the best of him, he decided to convince himself to take a rest and live is better than work.

James took out his phone and lay on the couch putting a blanket over his leg with Floof playing with a squeaky toy, resting its chin on James's thigh.

He looked at his phone and went to chat with Adam, he wanted to hang out for a bit.

'-Hey Adam wanna go and hang out? y' know food and such?'

He types trying to be as mediocre as possible, he petted Floof and waited for an answer.

5 minutes

Nothing, not even a single "Seen" he was starting to get impatient

'-You here? Hello! World to Adam!'

Again, nothing! Nothing at all, he was annoyed, was Adam ignoring him? Was he being a nuisance? He didn't know, he wanted to hang with Adam really bad but maybe he's not available?

Wait, what's that? He heard a "Ping" and looked back into his screen without thinking a second time.

Adam-'Can't right now'

James nodded, accepting the fact that he got denied at least Adam didn't reject him by literally ignoring him!

'-Ok then'

He was gonna put the phone away and picked up Floof...but, he hesitated...wouldn't it be rude to reject someone without a reason? Exactly it would.

'-y tho'?'

He asked, scaring he'd bother Adam

He waited again

Adam-'I'm tired'

Oh reasonable, it's kinda early in the morning he can't blame anyone.

He worked overnight and drank a little bit too much coffee...he couldn't go back to sleep now...

'-Aight', rest up!'

He slips his phone back into his pocket and stood up hoping that there's at least someplace that is still opened at this time.

"Come on Floof! I'll give you a walk!"

James cheered kneeling down to his dog that he adores so much, carrying the dog up it resists and hop back down to the couch, Floof is usually lazy in the morning or simply because all this tired groaning of James made the little dog mad.

"Aw...you're not available bud?"

The dog stays there as a sign of saying "Course I'm not" James groaned and stood up went to the door, put on his jacket and turned around.

"Stay out of trouble alright?"

He waved and walked out the door, outside was cool, the wind was playing with his blond hair it was a relaxing feeling and a beautiful sight of a mix of orange and ocean blue on the sky...

James wondered if Adam could possibly be alright...

He shook it off his mind and kept walking ahead, come to think of it Adam seems occupied lately...was he busy with his work? But he just posted a new video to the channel...it is because he's sick? He even told James to let him be...it was heart-breaking hearing that, he loved hanging out with Adam, they go to many streams together and Adam doesn't seem as talkative anymore, even his fans notice this and talked it out on the stream, everybody tried to ignore it but James just couldn't get his mind off it...
