Can I use any images on my covers?

Technically, you shouldn't use any image you find on the Internet. Most people on Wattpad do, but you could possibly get in trouble for using copyrighted photos. If you want to avoid this, you can download images from stock websites. Some of these require a small fee, but they are safe to use.

Where can I find images for my covers?

Many people use images from deviantART, weheartit, Favim, Google, or Tumblr. If you have any resources you would like me to add to this list, leave a comment.

How do I cut out people for my covers?

Some makers cut out people--often celebrities--for their covers. On most programs, there is some sort of magic wand or selection tool that can be used to cut people out of a picture. If this doesn't work out, you can always use an eraser tool, cut them out the best you can, and feather the edges a tiny bit.

How can I add several pictures together?

Let's say you get a cover request. Someone asks for a girl that's facing away, standing in a forest, with the moon in the background. It would be a bit hard to find an image that's exactly what they described. Instead of spending hours looking for a one, you could find a picture of the moon, cut it out using the same technique for cutting out people, and add a girl to the picture. It'll take you a white to learn how to blend well, so your photo manipulations may not turn out perfect at first. *NOTE: You may not be able to do this in certain programs.*

How do I download new fonts?

On websites that allow you to download fonts, there is most likely a button you can click that says "download." When you click this, regardless of what web browser you have, something should pop up. On Google Chrome, there is a black bar at the bottom that appears whenever you download something. Click on it, and a page will eventually pop up. There should be a file with an icon that has an "A" in the corner. Double click on it, then click the button that says "install". When you open the software you use for covers, the font should automatically be there. [I'm very bad at explaining things.]

 What fonts should I use?

Here is a long list of recommendations. The simpler serif and sans-serif fonts are first, and then some scripts and handwritten ones. Most are available on websites like Dafont, and most of the others are Microsoft fonts.
