To the nights that carry my sleep away
When seeing through me he'd find a way
To the nights when he'd make me smile
And from my problems I'd run a mile
To the nights where our atoms reacted
And with a rare feeling I got infected.
To the nights I wrote poems about him
While I was sleepy and the light was dim.
To the nights when my smile was sly
As I wished this chemistry wouldn't die.
To the nights when time turned to dust
We'd talk endlessly as if it was a must.
To this night as I'm hoping 'forever'
Isn't a promise he's keeping never.
