After birth I was put into foster care and was in the system for 2 years.
Over those two years I had fun. There was only one other kid that was my age. His name is Austin, we hung out and played together all the time.
I also looked like Dora with my tan skin and drown hair and eyes with bangs it was funny. People would call me Dora.
One day -February 22 2008- I was told that I was being adopted by a man named Marc and a women named Heidi. I was happy but at the same time upset.
Happy because I would have a family, but sad because I wouldn't be able to see the family I had there.
I had fun living with Marc and Heidi. He took two weeks off work at the beginning to take care of me while they got the whole daycare thing done.
He is a truck driver and she was one of the people who worked at the terminal office for the same business.
He was gone weeks at a time every here and there but whenever he hot back he would take me out to eat and to the movies. It was awesome.
Every weekend during the summer we would go to the "Town and Country Camp Ground" in Sussex.
Dad -Marc- long time friend had a trailer three or four down from ours and he had a daughter my age. We were both shy at first but really hit it off.
I looked forward to going to see her every weekend. We were inseparable, stuck together like glue.
I remember times that we would runaway to get her to our little hide out in the woods and just play until we got scared of the dark and go back.
Fun times those were.
But then winter would come and we went back to Moncton and they went back to Saint John. Life would resume back to normal.
And I remember March of 2010 Mom -Heidi- telling me that I was going to be a big sister. I was so happy!
Life was great! If only it stayed that way.
