Chapter 7: Little Max

The next day on Saturday, Abby came home from college with Max and Katherine said, "Hey you two." Abby said, "Hey Momma." Max asked, "What's going on in here?" Katherine said, "I got you guys, a little visitor and he missed you guys so much." Max Jr is happy to see Abby and Abby grabs Max Jr from Katherine. Abby said, "Little Maxie, you are finally home to see us and we miss you so much." Max Jr said, "Momma." Max asked, "Who's this little guy?" Abby said, "Max, this is your son Max Jr and Maxie, this is your daddy." Max Jr said, "Dada." Max said, "Hey buddy." Max grabs Max Jr from Abby and said, "I guess I was there to see you with your momma and you're getting so big." Max Jr is happy to see Max and Abby said, "Baby, I think you know why that I've cheated on Drew for you and you got me pregnant." Max said, "Yes." Abby said, "That's why we had Little Max and you never miss the birth of our son." Max said, "Nope and he's my son. I guess you know why that I'm the father of our son not Drew." Abby said, "Yup and that's why I didn't tell Drew about this." Max said, "You don't need to and I want this with you." Abby said, "We're going to be planning on having more kids in the future." Max said, "You're the best baby girl and I'm so happy that our son is here with us." Max Jr said, "Dada." Max said, "At least you wanted to see us and I'm glad that I came over with mommy." Abby said, "I really think you are hyper to see our son." Max said, "I can't help it and I love kids like you do." Max Jr is being fussy and Abby said, "I think Little Maxie wants his favorite Animal Crackers." Max Jr is being a happy baby and Max said, "Let's go son." Max and Abby walk in to the house and Katherine shuts the door. John said, "Hey you two." Abby said, "Hi Daddy." Max said, "Hey Mr. Watson." John said, "You really wanted to see your son so much." Max said, "I really can't help it and I'm glad that my son is getting ready to be turning two this year." Abby said, "I miss how I was having this little cutie pie and he was so cute." Max Jr smiles and Max said, "At least you take after me, you know that I'm planning on marrying your momma and you do say yes that I have your permission to marry mommy." Max Jr said, "Yeah." Abby said, "Aww Maxie, you are too cute when you are being a happy baby and wanting Daddy to marry me." Max said, "I guess we are parents and planning on marrying to you." Abby said, "Yup and now, you are going to love your Animal Crackers." Max Jr is excited and Max walks to the kitchen while holding Max Jr. Max went to the left cabinet and found Animal Crackers in the jar. Max Jr is so hyper and Abby came over to them. Abby said, "Daddy found your favorite Animal Crackers and you excited to have them." Max Jr smiles and claps. Max said, "At least you are meant to have them and we're happy to see you here with us." Max Jr is wanting Animal Crackers and Abby said, "I think it's time for you to have Animal Crackers and you will have your nap." Max said, "Okay son, you are ready for them." Max grabs Animal Crackers from the jar and he put it down on the counter. He opens it and he grabs some of Animal Crackers for Max Jr. Abby said, "I guess you are happy to have them." Max Jr grabs one of the animals and he eats one. Max said, "I think that was a yes and I guess our son loves Animal Crackers like we did as kids." Abby said, "Don't be silly, Max and I do too eat Animal Crackers." Max said, "Oh yeah then you are making me crazy now for talking about Animal Crackers." Abby said, "That's not my problem about Animal Crackers because you started it." Max said, "No fair." Abby and Max laughs while Max Jr eats his Animal Crackers. Katherine said, "That's our girl." John said, "They are happy for each other like our parents did when we were like them and now they're parents." Katherine said, "We just have to accept them together and our grandson is happy to be here with us." John said, "He deserves his parents and us as well. We always knew that our daughter is growing up and she will be moving out of this house with Max and Max Jr." Katherine said, "I just don't want our baby girl to go and she was our baby." John said, "I know honey but she will always come over to visit us with Max and Max Jr." Katherine said, "I know and I just want to hug her a lot more." John said, "I know you do, honey and that's why we will have grandchildren to run around in this house." Katherine said, "Yeah and that's how grandchildren do to have fun with us. I will probably tell them not knock things over at Home and Decor and they can probably help out with flowers." John asked, "Are you sure that's a great idea to bring them to Home and Decor with you?" Katherine said, "That's up to Abby and Max if they have somewhere to go for their date." John said, "Well yeah but they won't like my job at all and I think if our granddaughter would get on table to sing for my crew then I will be embarrassed." Katherine said, "Oh John, you know that our daughter was our little singer at your work once and they love her. You wasn't embarrassed about it and that's when George kept saying, 'C'mon John, let your daughter sing for us and this is what we want for our job to compare to other singers to provide our work to listen on the radio.' I still remember it for a long time and it's too bad that my daughter won't be able to get on the table once she's pregnant of Max's baby." John said, "Yeah and I guess that I can bring Abby to work with me tomorrow. They probably still remember her when she was little and my boss came to the graduation to see Abby for her senior year to be over." Katherine said, "She can also bring Little Max." John said, "I hope he won't do like Abby did." Katherine said, "Little Max just learning how to talk but he can't sing. I do know that he's really good of playing his toy xylophone and I wonder if he takes after his dad." Max Jr is happy and Abby said, "Aww sweetie, you love Animal Crackers and you are so cute when you get too happy." Max said, "You are lucky to be here with us and you are our son to be a cute one. You get more lucky to be a big brother once you get a sibling and you don't have to be alone." Max Jr is happy and Abby said, "I still remember the day that I was carrying you and your dad decided to have you in his video with us." Max said, "I can't believe that you remember it and you didn't tell anyone about this." Abby said, "I didn't want to and I wanted to keep it as a secret." Max said, "At least you are that kind of girlfriend to keep secret from your own boyfriend and never tell him anything about our son." Abby said, "I couldn't because I wanted you more than anything in this world and I can't be with someone that never do the things that Drew does with me." Max said, "Baby bug, you are lucky to be free and this is who you really are." Abby said, "I know love but I couldn't lose you for anything if I'm willing to think that I could try." Max said, "Babe, you never try and I never wanted you to try. I was waiting for you and you're the only one that I trust to be my girlfriend. I couldn't lose you for another girl and I just had a conversation with Nicole about who was flirting with me that was two months after the graduation. She told me that it was Grace and I told her that I don't want to date Grace." Abby asked, "Was Grace dating Lance Willard back in the sixth grade?" Max said, "Yes and I don't even know why Grace wanted to break up with Lance for me. Grace and I don't have anything in common with any good relationship. I know that we have same common together and Max Jr is the one in our life together." Abby said, "At least he's so perfect to be here with us and I don't even know how to start from the beginning." Max said, "You don't need to and having Max Jr is what we wanted together. I guess I saved the video and we are keeping our first video together. I guess there was a video of you for looking at our son at the ultrasound before he was ready to be born." Abby said, "He's our cutie pie like you." Max kiss Abby cheek and pulls away. Max said, "I kept looking at you in the videos for knowing how happy you are with me while Drew went with his family to travel to Australia. I was happy to be there for our son and I cuddle you guys because you two are all mine." Abby said, "I guess you know how safe I was without him and I couldn't let him do this while I was carrying Maxie." Max Jr smiles and claps. Max said, "That's our boy." Abby said, "I thought I wanted a girl but I guess having a boy wouldn't hurt." Max said, "Nah because we're keeping him." Abby said, "Sweetie, you know that Max Jr is your first birthday present on your birthday and I remember that Maxie couldn't wait for that long." Max said, "You remember it and I can't believe you knew that Max Jr is my first birthday present back from my sixteenth birthday. I guess we both shared the same birthday together." Max Jr claps and Abby said, "I guess Daddy couldn't be upset because you wanted surprise him for his birthday." Max said, "You are my first birthday present and you were the best one that I ever wanted. You didn't wait that long and you wanted to come early to surprise me." Max Jr laughs and Abby said, "That's why Maxie is that kind of son of ours who wants to surprise you and be here with us." Max said, "I really didn't think that you wouldn't remember anything about my sixteenth birthday." Abby said, "Baby, I never forget about your sixteenth birthday and I still remember it." Max said, "At least that I got you guys with me and nobody else." Abby said, "I'm really glad that we got a family that we wanted and I can't believe that Max Jr is wanting us to stay with him." Max said, "It's all Max Jr wanted as a family and I feel a lot more happier." Katherine asked, "Do you know the name of Seth?" Abby said, "Yeah." Max said, "Oh yeah and he goes to our school and college." John said, "Abby, I have something to tell you about Seth and that's why we should've told you." Max asked, "Do you and Seth have the same last name?" Abby said, "Yes." John asked, "How did you know?" Katherine said, "At the graduation." John said, "Oh never mind." Max asked, "Are you and Seth related? Is Seth your cousin?" Abby said, "No but I have a cousin name Jackson." John said, "Max Jr has an uncle." Katherine asked, "What are you talking about?" Seth opens the door and said, "Oh hey everyone." John said, "Hey son." Katherine asked, "What's going on here?" Abby said, "Family meeting now." Max said, "Great idea." Katherine said, "Alright." They all sat down on the couch and John said, "Alright guys, I have a big confession and this is not going to be pretty as I thought." Seth asked, "What's going on, Dad?" John said, "Let me tell you guys, I made a huge confession that I used to be with Patty Stubblefield before I was with Katherine and Patty told me that she didn't want to see me again because of her parents." Seth asked, "Why would Grandma and Grandpa do this to Mom?" John said, "I don't know what exactly happened but I got with Katherine so your mom called me that she was pregnant of you and I got Katherine pregnant." Abby said, "Dad, you should've told me about this and everyone are concerning about me and Seth." John said, "Abby, I married to your mom before you were even born and I was at the hospital for Patty to give birth to Seth. Your mom had you in a month later and that means that you and Seth are related." Max said, "No way." Seth said, "Hey sis." Abby said, "Not another word from you, dork." Seth said, "Oh really because you and I don't even speak to each other in the class." John asked, "Why?" Abby said, "You basically threw pencil up to the ceilings every time." John said, "Seth, that's not what you are supposed to do and you know that Abby is your sister. Also, Max Jr is your nephew and you are his uncle." Max Jr smiles and Seth asked, "Where did you come from?" Max said, "Max Jr came from us and this is your nephew." Seth said, "You guys were together at the time and no wonder why Drew didn't found out about this." John said, "Seth, please get along with your sister and I'm sorry that I never married to your mom." Seth said, "I know Dad but Max Jr looks like Max and that's why it makes me feel weird." John said, "You'll be fine and please, get along with your sister. Abby loves you and that's why you are her brother." Abby said, "We're related and deal with it." Seth said, "Oh alright and I guess Max Jr is cute." Max Jr smiles and Max said, "I think Max Jr loves you and he never met you before." Seth said, "I guess not and I hope to see him a lot more. I'm really glad that you are there for my sister and my nephew." Max said, "I'm always there for them and your sister is free from Drew. Drew wasn't meant to turn out to be abuser but he get it from his dad after his dad hurt his mother." Seth said, "Oh that's right and Alex punch you in the left eye. I think that was your ex boyfriend who can't play baseball and got arrested for the school fire." Abby said, "Yeah and Alex is desperate for wanting me to start a family with him in the future." Max said, "Not even a chance and you're all mine. Our son needs his momma with us and I needed you." Abby said, "You are lucky to be with me and I couldn't let go of you and Max Jr." Seth said, "Of course that I'm in your class and your dad is Professor Nichols." Max said, "Yeah and my mom works at Lilly Shop from downtown. She's a florist and I don't even grow any flowers but I do take something after my dad." Seth asked, "What about you, Abby?" Abby said, "I'm just a writer, a mom, and singer not anything else." Seth said, "That's all you ever are." Abby said, "Yes and not even near as Mom or Dad." Katherine said, "She's right and I work at Home and Decor with Laurie." John said, "I'm just a business man who works for tall buildings." Seth said, "I don't know what can I do and I wish I have a job a lot more." Max asked, "What about being a lawyer?" Seth asked, "Was your dad a lawyer?" Max said, "Yes and it was fifteen years ago. I guess that my dad quit like six years ago." Seth said, "I guess you are not not even wanting to be a lawyer." Max said, "No way and I would never like the idea to be a lawyer. I need to find a different job and I still haven't found one yet." Abby asked, "What about the diner?" Max said, "That's perfect and I can see my beautiful girl with my future kids and our son everyday." Abby said, "I knew that you will say that." Max Jr said, "Yeah." Max said, "Thanks son for listening to your mommy and you take things after her." Max Jr laughs and Seth said, "I guess that's why." Abby said, "Our son is a cutie." Katherine said, "Seth, you are more than welcome to come over to the house to see your sister any time that you want." Seth said, "Thank you Katherine." Katherine said, "You're welcome dear."
