"I don't know how much longer I can keep this up." Faith sighed, flopping onto her bed. Finally the weekend had arrived and the girls had been in classes for a little over a month. "I need the break to come now."

"Only about 3 months away." Amber sighed opening up her laptop. Their English professor had assigned a "History of England" paper due on Tuesday, which meant that most of her weekend was going to be homework and studying. "Have you gotten started on the English paper yet?"

"Ugh, don't remind me." Faith sighed, "I tried to start earlier and got maybe a paragraph in. I'm sure it's an easier assignment if you're actually from the UK. I could write an American History paper no problem but there is so much research to do here." She sat up, grabbing her laptop out of her backpack. "I feel like I'm trying to fit years of history classes into 30 minutes."

"I feel, what are you going to write about?"

"I think I'm just going to pick a few major points of English history, stuff like the Battle of Hastings and go from there."

Amber opened up a document on her computer, quickly completing the required headers and formatting before pulling up google. She was going to have to try and learn years of English history in these next few minutes. "That's a good idea. I want to get a good chunk of it done before my parents get here."

"Oh that's right! I forgot they were coming to visit. How exciting! I miss my family so much." Faith smiled, shaking away any feelings of homesickness. "When are they coming?"

"Later at 4. I have to go pick them up from the airport. Do you want to come?"

"Absolutely! They're like my second family." Faith exclaimed. "What time are we leaving? Chis and I are practicing for nutcracker auditions later." She opened her laptop revealing a carefully made schedule and a document filled with notes about our assignments. Opening a new document she carefully began writing.

"Okay cool". The girls quickly fell into silence, the only noise in the room coming from the click clack of keyboard keys. Amber slipped her headphones on, letting the music she knew so well fill her ears. She pushed on, flipping between google and her document as the words filled the page; One of the most significant events in English history was the Battle of Hastings which occurred in 1066 on October 14th. She felt a spark of inspiration and flew with it, letting her writing fill the page. One, two, three, at this rate, she would be done in no time. Overall, England's history holds much mystery but also tells tales of courage, bravery and perseverance that makes the country... She was interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Are we expecting anyone?" Faith asked curiously, hopping off her bed and opening the door.

"Oh hi!" She smiled, seeing Christopher. "I didn't think we were rehearsing yet."

"Sorry, I should've called first. I was hoping we could put in a few more hours this week. There's only a few days till auditions." He smiled, a small duffle bag swung over his shoulder. "Is that okay?"

" Oh of course! I'll need all the practice I can get. Just let me get ready real quick." She said holding the door open.

He stepped in, placing the duffle bag near the door. "Hi Amber, how are you?"

"I'm good, how are you?" She looked up from her laptop, shutting it.

"Not too bad, Faith and I are just doing some last preparations for nutcracker auditions."

Amber jokingly raised an eyebrow "You're pulling her to the dark side Chris. Music majors totally trump Dance."

He chuckled, raising his hands in surrender "Hey, what does or doesn't happen as a result of this has nothing to do with me." Faith then stepped out of the bathroom in a pair of leggings and a leotard, a loose sweater thrown over the top. "But I wouldn't complain if it did." He teased, sending her a wink.
