Take my hand || *discontinued*

Prologue|| confession

'There is he.' I thought while peeking behind the door in the classroom. 'C'mon Chiyo, call out to him. You can do it.'

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for a few seconds and tried to calm my mind and stop my body from trembling.

Today I would confess my feelings to my crush, Sugawara Koushi from class 3C. Even though we aren't in the same class anymore, we were in the past. And since I first met him and saw his kindness and his beautiful smile, I've fallen in love with him.

As soon as I opened my eyes I slid the classroom door open and stood in the entrance.

"Sugawara Koushi!" I shouted his name out.

The silver haired boy who stood behind his desk turned around and his chocolate brown eyes made contact with mine. "Ah, Ueda-san? What's wrong?" He gently asked and made a heartwarming smile.

"L-Let's walk home together..." I said and tried to cover my flushing red cheeks with my pink scarf.

Sugawara's eyes widen as he was surprised at what I said, but he nodded and answered me with a "okay."

Outside it was freezing cold winter day and there were almost no people on the streets. I wore my pink scarf tightly around my neck and let out a quiet sigh. As we walked side by side with a gap between us it was awkwardly silent. I was thinking about what to say, when I have to confess and where until Sugawara suddenly broke the silence ;

"nee Ueda-san, did you wanted to talk with me about something?"

I nod and stood still on the walking path under a big tree which had no leaves anymore on it. Sugawara stood in front of me, facing my direction with his hands in his pockets. When I wanted to open my mouth, out of a sudden snowflakes started to fall out of the sky and one fell on my nose. We looked up at the grey sky and more snowflakes appeared, it started to snow.

"First of all, thank you for coming along with me." I made a small bow in front of him.
"The first time we met.. I already knew you were special and different than other boys." I clanged on my jacket and felt my heart beating faster. I stared at his sparkling brown orbs and swallowed my throat.

"I like you Sugawara Koushi, I like you more than classmates, more than friends. Please.. See this as a confession."

Sugawara hands slid out of his pockets and his mouth formed a 'o' shape.

"Ueda-san..." he whispered as his voice saddened. "I like you too Ueda-san, but probably not the same way you like me. I really appreciate your feelings.. I'm sorry."

I let out a deep sigh and closed my eyes. Although I kind of expected that he would turn me down, those words.. Were really painful to hear.

"I hope we still can be friends." Sugawara added and nervously looked at me.

"Yeah." I said and made a big smile on my face. "Thank you for listening to my first confession. I'll see you soon again, goodbye." I bowed one more time and quickly ran off. As soon as I opened my eyes I felt warm tears rolling down my cheeks.

'Goodbye everyone.'
