Time Apart

Jughead's POV

I looked down at Betty, bruised and beaten she was still beautiful. I couldn't believe I'd let her go through all of this, Cheryl was right, I was a horrible boyfriend. I grabbed her hands and kissed them before leaning over her and sobbing.
"I love you so much, please don't leave me."

I looked up from crying and saw Betty staring at me. "Oh my gosh! You're awake!" I leaned down and hugged her. "I love you so much I'm so sorry I didn't believe you!"

She looked back at me with an empty, disappointed look in her eyes. "What do you want me to say?"

Betty's POV

Of course I loved him- more than anything. But I couldn't say that I forgave him.

"W-what do you mean?" He asked confused.

"Do you want me to say that I forgive you?" He kept the same expression. "Because honestly I don't, at least I haven't. You weren't there for me in the darkest part of my life so far. Instead of sucking it up and choosing to believe in me and our relationship you believed that I cheated on you, with Chuck. I hate Chuck. You know that, the faith you had in me must have been really low. And I almost died because of it, I almost killed myself. But I didn't because I'm stronger than that. And I'm really sorry because I love you, but I think we need to spend some time apart."

His teary eyes looked into mine and he nodded silently before standing up and walking out of the door.

This is really short and I'm sorry i just didn't have any time to do anything longer. I'm kinda stuck on where Betty should go from here. She could be like the strong feminist and prove everyone wrong, or she could get hurt again by confronting chuck, or she and Cheryl could have more cousin bonding moments, or she and Jughead could even get back together and have more bughead moments???? I don't know tell me what you think! Thanks!
