"Ms.Tem?"

"Yes Jessie."

"Could you approve this fabric, does it match the vision?" She asked presenting the yards of fabric.

"No, the vendor got it wrong again. Just put it in storage. It's beautiful we'll use it later on. Just not for this collection." I sighed.

"Yes ma'am."

I heard my office door close. I popped my shoes off and leaned back in my chair. It had been a year and after Dave finally left me alone I focused harder than ever and my life skyrocketed. My designs were "anonymously" posted on The Shade Room and people loved them. Soon after I quit school and used my money from Toya's to open my own business.

It wasn't big, but it was booming.

I walked to the window looking down at the city. I couldn't help but start thinking about Dave and what we could've been. I heard a knock at my door.

"Hey babe." My boyfriend Tory entered with a bouquet of roses.

I hated roses.

"Hi baby." I walked over to him smiling.

"I brought you something."

"Thank you." I kissed him sweetly accepting the ugly flowers.

"How's work?"

"It's fine, the vendor brought us the wrong fabric again." I sighed.

"Damn. Maybe get a new one."

"That's what I'll have to do."

"Early lunch?"

"Yeah, can we go to that noodle place I like?"

"For sure mamas."

I met Tory through work, I had designed a few pieces for his tour. We went on a couple dates mostly talking about himself but he knew what I wanted to tell him.
