Chapter 4:Memorial

"Do You Know what happened,Were you present when the inciddent happened Did you kill her.

All these questions I just wanted to go home. "Where is your mother one of the police ask me.

"We were having a sleepover her mother didn't come Stefanie jumps in and says."Well can you give her a call this is a crime seen The police said

"I left my phone in the house I said then quickly went inside i could still here the crackling laugh the board game and everything i shifted through some things and found my phone on top of the board game.

"I looked at the board game and noticed something i didnt notice before. It was a crack in the middle it was broken but still laughing.

"WTF i said quietly and ran out.

"Found it i said kinda out of breath

""I called my mom and just sat there waiting for her to answer

"Hello?

"Hey mom

"What is everything alright.

"UH yeah can you pick me up like now.

"Why is everything okay She asked kinda worried

"I'll tell you on the way home kay. I said trying to sound cheerfull

"Well okay i'll be there in a sec

"Okay see you when you get there i say then hang up.

"she got there and was startled when she saw sirens and cops talking to the four of us.

"Whats going on she said running up to me.

"This house has been transcript ed into a crime seen according to the now dead Melody sanders

"What happened we are leaving now mom said  between tears 

"I wanna go to the hospital. I wanna be there for her i said crying trying to run to the car but mom wouldn't let me go.

"No Claire we are not going not until you clear this shit up Mom said tears running down her face.

I'm afraid she cant leave she has to go to one night interagation the cop said.

"What no she is coming home now mom said her anger boiling up."No she has to go it is illegal.

"My daughter is not going to prison. My mom said shouting cuss words in the middle.

"Whats going on a cop said stepping out of his car.

This man wants to take my daughter to prison shes only 16. My mom says sending dirty looks to the other cop.

"Ma'am um she must undergo the law im very sorry.The cute cop said in a deep voice furrowing is green eyes

"Oh lord mom cried out.

"Mom i wanna see melody  please i wanna see her i said crying like a three year old that just got whupped.

"No she said holding her head down you have to go with the police officers.

"they grabbed me and put me in the car with the girls and boys that were at the sleepover.

"I give up i whispered to myself. Renee put her arm around and whispered"Were gonna be okay.

I looked over to see Stefanie in full shock staring at something with a blank stare.

"Stefanie i asked worried.

"She doesn't answer and just keeps staring ahead.I'm just gonna keep my mouth shut because it is or must be hard on her to have to deal with the fact that someone she didn't care for someone she bullied for a long period of time just died in her house.

"We get there and are put in an all white room with one camera. "Whats going on Renee said real frightened.

'"Um m melody i is dead I said taking a deep breath realizing what i just said

'she is not dead Stefanie cried out in horror.It was the first thing she said all night but i guess that a start

"No Stef shes died Renee said with her hand in her lap. And were at a police station cause they think we killed her or did something to her

"I don't want to go to juvie she cried or jail since were juniors. "Just then some police or investigators came.

"Can we see Stefanie Asharie Graves  

"Here stefanie says getting  up and dusting herself

Stefanie P.O.V 

"Follow Me the officer said. "We went into a room with a table and two chairs. "Sit down the officer said pointing at the seat in front of him.

"Uh I say as i sit down.

"so can you tell me anything about what happened tonight.

"Well I search for words its hard to explain um well I met this bunch of friends and it was my birthday and we played this game.

"What kind of game the police ask cutting me off.

"It was called Death board or devils board and we were playing when things got serious and me and melody fought then out of no where we have already came in and calmed down and she starts bleeding from her neck and then things escalated.

"Do you think that it might have been your fault The police ask leaning in.

"Uh no we didn'r I mean claire and renee stopped me before anything actually happened.

Okay thank you ms graves.

Claire P.O.V

"She comes back in with a little tear marks on her face but is overall   okay

"Claire Underwood follow me

"I follow him into a room were a lady in a pants suit is sitting across from an empty chair. The police man stays inside as he closes the door behind him.

"Hello I'm Anna Parker a investigator the women said reaching out her hands to shake mine. I held up my hands in gesture to take the hand cuffs off.

"The investigator looked at the police man kinda irritated.

"Well take the damn  handcuffs off the investigator said "Uh okay the police said unlocking my cuffs.

"So Claire can you tell me about what happened just 3 hours ago She asked tapping her clipboard and paper.

"Well um we were playing this game I stopped wondering if it was safe to tell a lie.It was called devils board and we were playing truth or dare and melody well um melody lied about what she had been truth ed to ask. 

"Can you tell what Ms Williams lied about She asked totally cutting me off.

"Um she said that she slept with stefanie boyfriend and stefanie got mad and they fought but it wasn't stefanies fault of why melody died she was fine after an hour after the fight and then things escalated and she died.

"So are you saying this happened out of thin air and nobody had nothing to do with it The investigator asked suspiciously 

" I personaly think it was the board.

"And why do you think that.

"Because it was a voice in the bourd and it said lying could cost you your life.

"May i be able to see this board sometime 

"Uh I donno i dont have it stefanie does.

"Well it was nice talking with you The investigator said kindly.

'You too I said eager to finally be able to leave.
