"Um," A voice breaks my thoughts, "Would you mind if I sit here?"

I let a deep sigh, "Yeah." I say in response, not thinking twice. No one's sitting here, so might as well make a new friend.

The person sat in front of me.

That tan complexion. That square jaw. He looked at me, smiling. "Thanks, Casper."

Oh my god. He knows my name. I can feel blood rushing to my ears. Play it cool, Casper. Play it cool. "Oh, hey. Sylv-Spencer. Um, Spencer was it?"

Dang. Nice going, stupid. Now he's gonna think you don't care about him.

He chuckles a bit, making a cute smile from such strong features. "Spencer Roxas." He held out his hand, "Hello, Casper Lloyd De Vaux, it's nice meeting you personally."

Did he just-

HE REMEMBERS MY FULL NAME. Well, the middle name's lacking, but it can go. Nobody even dares to remember my name. But he does.

I feel blood enter my face, heading towards my cheeks.

I'm panicking. Just keep calm. Keep calm. Calm and steady. You can do this.

I take his hand, shaking it firmly as a gesture of greeting. A smile tugging my lips. "The pleasure is all mine!" I say rather a wee bit too happily. I hope he can't read the nervousness in my voice.

He retracts his hand, and so did I. It left a lingering sensation on my hand, like something was missing and I'm still holding on to it.

His hand left some sweat on mine, not that it bothers me. But his palm was smooth like silk, unlike mine, rough like sandpaper.

"Sorry 'bout that. My hands tend to sweat easily." He says shyly, wiping his hand on his handkerchief.

"Nah, don't sweat it." I said, waving my hand in the air in a dismissing manner

"Did you just--"

"Did I what?" I ask narrowing my eyes at him, raising a brow.

"'Don't SWEAT it.', you said." He said, laughing.

Now I unintentionally make puns. Wonderful.

His voice is one thing, but his laugh is another. His voice is smooth, but his laugh is music to my ears. It's so charming and contagious, I begin to laugh as well.

"Well, aren't you so punny." He said, a bit of giggles still present from him.

We laughed for a bit more, before it died down.

"So why are you here?" I paused for moment, realization dawning on me, "I-I mean what brings you here? I'm sorry! No offense! I-I didn't mean to sound condescending or a-anything! I-I swear!" Damn, I screwed this one up! No, no, no, no, NO! I've humiliated myself in front of him, too? Time to jump off the cliff now. I can't handle the embarrassment.

I buried my face in my arms, too embarrassed to even meet his gaze. I chant 'no' in my mind like a mantra to make him go away and let me wallow in my embarrassment.

"Hey, hey." He placed his hand on my head, ruffling my hair. I hear the bench creak and an arm wraps around me pulling me close. "It's okay, none taken."

He gently runs his hand on my hair, twirling and playing with it as he does. A mild tingling sensation tickles across my scalp to my neck. I feel as though a feather brushes on my skin, so soft, so gentle, so calming.

We stay like that for a couple of minutes, and I'm like a hairbreadth close to falling asleep. His touches lull me to sleep, like an unsung lullaby in perfect silence.
