Just when I get the gut to leave him, I find out I'm pregnant. One we have been trying for since we married two years ago.
He is a good man but, his time isn't ever present.
"Let's get you out"I unbuckle her and pull her out, holding her
Candy gets out and looks at me looking for something, I give her my look and she smiles. I look at my baby, shaking a little bit, and smile "There's someone who wants to meet you"I whisper
I walk over to Nick who stares at her like she's the most beautiful thing in the world "This is y-your daddy"
She looks at me and then back at him "Dadda?"
I look at Candy and nod my head "Yes, Nick this is Charlie Rose Marie Basham"
He smiles softly at her "Hey my love"
She giggles and hugs my neck "Um this is my other best friend, Candice Landon, Candice this is Nick, my ex h-"
"Nice to meet you"He interrupts
"Hi"She shakes his hand after he offers it
He lets go and looks back at Charlie who is still hanging on tight
"Want to see a Princess room?"He asks
She shakes her head, yes and I chuckle

We enter the room and she jumps down and runs to the bed were a present laid
"That's for you" He mentions
She looks at me and I nod, she rips the paper as Candice walks to me slowly
"This is something" She replies
I look at her "It's her room, something way better than mine"
"A, nothing he can do will make her love you any less, You're her mother"
I look away and at her "A baby!"
I look at Candice "A baby? Her weakness"
"Candy! Mama!"
We walk over and check out the baby

I sit on the bed and smile at my baby girl "What do you say?"

Candice phone rings "Work, I'll just step into this room here" leaving Char and I with him
