We walked through the mysterious landscape. The ground in that realm was strange. At first we stepped on what felt like solid crystal, but it flowed as if it was waters under our feet, and then walked through a fleshy floor that later on we realized was the surface of a plant which felt and looked like a large blanket of purple flesh. And the bizarre flesh plant was followed by a floor that felt like dried plastic foam, not unlike a dried up sponge, and released dusty fumes when stepped on. That world was not like anything we were familiar with. And those strange places were steps away from each other.

It was not even a day long trip until we reached yet another of those crystal rivers. This time we found two persons sitting by that unfamiliar floor. One was a beautiful woman with demon traits and beautiful pale skin. The other was a purple skinned male demon who carried two vases on his back. They seemed to be arguing.

"I think I know one of them!" Kraid said excited. "Duchess Gremory, is that you?"

"Kraid? Long time no see." The woman greeted the young demon.

"You know the boy?" The purple man asked.

"He's one of my fans. Like that girl Liz."

"The one who picked us both?"

"Yes. What brings you to our home, little boy?"

"We... Are looking for something important." Kraid blushed.

"Tell me more."

"Why were you arguing?" Marinette asked with disturbing familiarity.

"Is this the one?" The man looked at her.

"Yes. She's the one. The one who called Orobas horse. A friend of Orobas is always our friend."

"Then tell me why you were arguing."

"Gaap insists there can be no love without hate, and that hate could bloom from love and love from hate. I say he is speaking nonsense."

"Maybe you could help us reach a conclusion to this argument. After all, us, spirit demons, see the world different from mortals, and we benefit from your perspective." The man took a sip from one of his vases. The water in it looked dark and gloomy. "Or maybe we should get rid of these outsiders."

"Easy, Gaap. Balance it a little more." The man drank from the other vase at his friend's request.

"Well. I know a thing or two about love. Love has no place for hate. Where there is love there will only be love." Kraid stated. "It is as Gremory says."

"Bullshit! You can hate someone you loved, or even hate someone you also love. Sometimes only balance remains." Marinette said. "You all hated me once."

"The love between her and the human is stronger than the one between your disciple and his woman. This is evidence of my words being truthful."

I approached with a calm smile. "You're both wrong. Love and hate never exist at the same time." Everyone gasped in surprise except for Gremory and Gaap. "But hate or even pain is capable of clouding love, and love could turn into hate by betrayal."

"Elaborate further, human. I find your words interesting." Gaap drank again.

"I will do as you demand. Lies can make love into hate too. Sometimes people are lied to and hate someone they could love if they knew the truth. Sometimes truth makes one hate someone once loved by realizing they were not who they pretend to be."

"Then only lies make hate into love and love into hate." Gremory asked. "But what about true love?"

"True love demands truth. Were I to listen to the lies spoken of Marinette I could not love her. And were I to fall for the lies spread by others I would love someone else. But it would not be true love. Without truth there can be no true love. But also no true hate."
