Getting to know you.

It was early morning when Callum woke, his mind is doing overtime after recent events as he glances at his click it's 6:30am, he rubs his eyes and gets up finding a pair of joggers and a t-shirt he gets dressed, he likes to jog, it clears his mind of things, seen as he isn't really much of talker, grabbing his phone and head phones he heads out the vic this is the perfect way to get to know the square a little more and pressing play he begins to run.

Ben wakes when the sound of Ian moaning downstairs is too loud to deal with, he checks his phone it's 7:30 it's too early to even think about getting up so he unlocks his phone and the first thing he sees is Callum Highway's social media page, he sighs knowing that he should leave it alone, Ben Mitchell doesn't do feelings, and Callum seems too innocent to deal with a man like Ben but if one thing is sure Ben Mitchell was always drawn to Callum in some way and now his mission was to get to know the new boy, he knows his old tricks won't work and he doesn't fancy getting a left hook of him either. All he knows is his name and the fact he is related or knows the carters well. Well that's a start.

As Callum is running his mind in a different world he turns entering the square again, the market is a bit busier with everyone setting up for the day, obviously not paying attention to his surroundings he feels the connection as he runs into someone quickly looking down and catching them, being him back up he looking a little longer than necessary.. "Ben right?" He smiles as Ben fix's himself "yeah that's me" he laughs and he can't help but really look at the taller man, the way his hair falls with the lack of jel and the sweat he has built up, the way his eyes shine a little too bright even for him, the way the vein in his neck sticks out (he finds that really hot) the little scar he has under his ear, he shakes his head dismissing any thought that are sure to come and Callum speaks "you alright? I didn't see you there was away with the fairies" Ben smiles "me oh I'm fine it's alright" he looks away slightly and his words fall without thinking "fancy a pint later? Seen as your new and all" he smiles as if it was a casual thing he does and Callum just looks back "er yeah sure, here take my number and just text me if anything changes" he passes the younger lad his number he then begins to run off back to the vic.

Callums day goes quickly and before he knows it he's stepping out of a shower and putting on a navy blue shirt, as he styled his hair he can't help but think at least one new friend around here won't hurt, elsewhere Ben is being typical Ben he can't decide what to wear, it wasn't a date or anything but he just can't seem to shift Callum out of his head, his eyes, his hair everything about him but he needs to learn to walk before he can run for all he knows Callum might not be his type so with an clear head he sighs and walks over to the Vic.

He is surprised when he walks in and see's Callum sitting at a table with two pints, he walks over his own Mitchell walk and a smile that could light up any room and he sits, "hey" he simply says as he takes off his coat and is greeted by a smiling Callum "hey so how was your day" Ben sits and thinks he is going down the casual root of conversation (a normal one) so he plays along "busy, busy but good how about yours" he then listens to Callum moan about punters and how he didn't manage to drop all the glasses today and he laughs along before sitting back "so Callum Highway what brings you to this end of town? I mean beside the fact your ex - boyfriend cheated on you?" He watches as Callums face changes and he sighs "well apart from my ex boyfriend and all I've heard good things and I mean the carters it's always good to see them" he smiles taking a sip of his pint, Ben knows he needs to dig deeper find out his darkest secrets but the man sat in front of him a voice so soft and face to match, he can't being himself to be his usual self.

Will his nice behaviour be short lived? Or will Ben find himself coming to Callums aid, and what affect has Callum really got over the big bad Ben Mitchell?
