"O great it's all over the News we have a new lead and that there is still a strong chance Tiffany will be found and returned home in time to enjoy the holiday with her family. " So lets put on all the normal Christmas functions and relax our guard." The two men threw paper wads at the tv.

"This changes everything "

"This Changes our speed, my friend, it means we sacrifice elegance for expedience. It means we pick up a big box of those meal replacer bars and some of that powder stuff so, so we can bring more men on the team and get more done with less real food, is all. Let's grab that fast food and bring our big notebooks. It's already 6:30 so we can't make the run to the office store as I wanted to but if I'm lucky I might have what we need at my house lets go " Andy said calmly.

Taking charge of his men gave Andy a sense of calm that he rarely truly felt. He never panicked on the job he knew that his men knew by the textbooks and The three-month training sessions they did they could handle their weapons well. But this was more than handling weapons this was finding a little girl in a house of monsters. Could they handle that? Andy had taken this job because it was a small town, they were not supposed to have the same level of depravity that he had seen in his last job. In some ways this felt worse than any of his other cases. not only was there a ticking time clock for the girl but it seemed as if the mayor the very man he was supposed to trust was working against him.

What were they going to find in that house?  What had been hidden for so long in the tiny writing that gave people roads? Who else knew about the Mystery House? Who else had helped the mayor hide whatever was in that house? Who else had betrayed these people? Was it someone still in town, still looked up to still a local hero? If so losing a local hero was going to be as difficult. As it was for them to welcome Tiffany home. They might also blame her for the downfall of the people in power who had caused this mess. If that was the case, then bring her home directly might do more harm than good, after all, she would be an easy target for the town to blame the Loss of their innocence on.

The family needed to be reunited. How that was done, where it was done and how long this family could stay out of town would be needed to be worked out. Andy hated thinking like this it reminded him of why he left the city. And made him rethink his decision to leave in the first place. but for now there was so little girl to find and her captors to be brought to justice.

Such heavy thoughts couldn't follow him into the restaurant as everyone was trying to shake his hand, get some Gossip, or by his dinner. he had To Laugh because this little girl and even been found yet. In fact, they were no closer than before the 6 News. Perception creates reality. So in the minds of the people, it would only be a few more days until everything returned too normal. So Andy made them as comfortable as he could.
