A ding came from my phone as I was getting ready, notifying me that I had gotten a text. I walked over to my nightstand and read the text, seeing it was from Anna.

Hey, uhm bad news.

What's up?

My parents are being strict for some reason and I can't meet up with you guys unless Daniel comes with me. They know I'm going with you but they insist that Daniel NEEDS to come with me.

Well shit.

Do you wanna meet some other day? Maybe when Daniels out with his friends?

No, no today's perfect. I'll just stick to Johnnys side, it's fine. We're picking you up at 2:30 right?

Yes, see you then.

"Babe, I'm going to cry" I exclaimed to him from across the apartment.

"Whyy" he asked rushing into my room where I was getting ready.

He walked up behind me and hugged me from behind as i applied my makeup.

"Anna is being forced to bring her brother which is my stupid ass ex" I whined

"Well, ill just have you by my side the whole time, nothing new. Maybe even make him jealous a lil, yanno" he cockily said in a jokingly matter.

"Perfect" I chuckled

"You look beautiful today, just like everyday" he complimented as he had his head resting at the top of my head with his hands resting under my shirt, on my bare stomach, as I still did my makeup.

"Thank you, thank you, I try my best"

He chuckled and left a kiss at the top of my head. He then started to caress a small area of my belly and lowered his head until he reached my neck and started to leave a mark.

"Johnathan Mendoza, did you leave a hickey on my neck?!" I exclaimed. I slightly moved my hair to see a dark purple hickey right above my collarbone.

I lightly slapped his chest and pushed him away as we both laughed.

The last thing I added was my highlight before it was time to go meet up with Anna and her brother.

"Im so nervous" i said, getting into the passenger seat of my car as Johnny held the door open for me.

"No need to be nervous, you have me. It's just a normal day hanging out with your boyfriend and your best friend" he assured me when he made his way around the car and he got into the drivers seat.

"You're right. It's just a normal, casual day" I said playing with the loose strings from the holes on my jeans.

We arrived at the Venice boardwalk about 45 minutes later due to traffic but luckily Anna arrived just a few minutes before us.

When we reached her and her brother I gave Anna a big hug due to my nervousness.

"Ok, Anna this is my boyfriend Johnny. Johnny, this is basically my sister, Anna." They greeted each other and quickly introduced Johnny to Daniel.

"Johnny this is Daniel. Daniel, Johnny" I quickly said trying to get it over with. They shook hands and greeted each other.

We spent our time walking around the Venice boardwalk, occasionally stopping for Anna and I to get pictures.

After about 2 and a half hours we stopped to get ice cream and sat at a bench near the sand.

"He keeps staring at you, what the fuck" Johnny said to me while we waited for Anna and Daniel to come back from the restrooms.

"I know and it's honestly making me uncomfortable" I said

"Well, I could just be clingy-er if that's even a word" Johnny chuckled.

"Im not stopping you" I said as I turned my body to face him and leaned into his chest and he put his hands around my waist.

Anna and Daniel came walking back toward us while Anna had a smile on her face.

Johnny placed a kiss on my forehead before he removed his hands from my waist and we continued walking.

When Daniel looked over at me Johnny started playing with my hair, slowly pulling it back to show the hickey.

Once Daniel saw, we heard him sigh loudly and he began to walk in front of the three of us. We spent the rest of the our time at the boardwalk at one of the vintage shops. Of course, Anna was going crazy not being able what to decide to get and I spent my time looking at the cute accessories.

I walked out of the store holding a pair of black squares shades and Anna holding some cat eyed, white framed ones and a bag full of vintage accessories.

Right as we were about to start walking again, Anna got a call.

"Daniel and I have to leave" Anna said with a pout.

"Oh ok" i pouted back.

Anna and I hugged goodbye and they left but not before Anna saying that we need to hang out more often.

"You know... I don't like your ex" Johnny said

I turned to look at him to see him with a smile.

"It's not that I think he's a bad guy or anything, it's that he wants my girl after he cheated on her even though we all know that's just stupid"

I laughed at that and stood in front of him and hugged him with my arms wrapped around his torso.

"I love you" I said into his chest

"I love you too, bub" he chuckled

"You ready to go home?" He asked in a soft voice. I nodded but didn't let go of him.

"Are you smelling me again" he said pulling me away from him as he laughed.

"You smell good, take it as a compliment" I said patting his chest and going back to hugging him.

"I feel like we're not gonna be moving here for a while and I'm cold so how 'bout I give you a piggy back ride to the car" he said

"Yes please" I said, scrambling to stand behind him so I could hop onto his back.

He walked to the car as I had my head laying on his shoulder as I softly sang his favorite song into his ear.

When we got to my apartment we both changed into some sweats and cuddled up on the couch with a blanket and went onto Disney+.

"Probably one of the best days" I said, looking up at him and smiling.

"Couldnt agree more" he said looking down at me and smiling as well.

I kissed him before going back to watching toy story and leaned my head on his shoulder.
