School

I awoke to my alarm going off  

"Ugh whats the time 7:00 am time to get up Ruby"

I got up out of bed 

" RUBY ARE YOU AWAKE?"

" YES"

I got my school uniform and brang it into the bathroom time for a shower

[ 15 minutes later]

I got dressed and looked in the mirror 

" please be a good day i hope no one notices my eyes , HEY WHERES THE HAIR STRAIGHTENER CARA"

" I PUT IT IN YOUR WARDROBE WHEN YOU WERE ASLEEP"

Shit i hope Cara didn't see the tunnel

I ran to my room and grabbed the straightener and started to straighten my hair

" BREAKFAST RUBY"

" OK I'M COMING"

I walked into the kitchen Cara had a worried look on her face

" What's wrong Cara?"

" I'm scared for you Ruby i want today to be a good day for you "

" FOR FUCK SAKE CARA SHUT UP I'M FINE I WILL BE FINE LEAVE ME ALONE IM' NOT A CHILD ANYMORE AH"

I slammed the bowls off the table and they shattered i was so angry

" RUBY GET BACK HERE NOW"

I slammed the door i need to find my makeup, where is it?? I finally found it time to make my eyes go black

[ 7:50 am]

There was 10 minutes until i needed to leave for school but there was one more thing i needed to do i had a green emerald necklace which belonged to my Mum it made me feel safe somehow it made me more powerful and brave i decided to put it on 

" um Ruby are you ready to go?"

I opened the door and shoved Cara out of the way

" Ruby please don't be mad at me i was only trying to help"

Deep breathe Ruby it will be over

" Can we please just go to school i have everything?"

" Yeah sure your bags in the car lets go"

I walked outside and waited for Cara to open the car

" Ok lets get in"

I got in the car i felt nervous but this necklace will keep me safe i hope

" Um Ruby what do you think your doing wearing that damn necklace??!"

" Whats wrong with it?"

" You have never worn it around people before it has a strong power in it from your mother when she passed away its dangerous Ruby"

" I can deal with it Cara as i said i'm not a child anymore"

We arrived at school Cara looked upset

" Please give me the necklace Ruby"

I felt sad and angry

" NO WHAT DON'T YOU GET I CAN HANDLE MYSELF"

It suddenly started to rain really bad i felt like all my problems had just left me i walked away from Cara i wasn't looking where i was going i bumped into someone but before i fell they caught me

" Watch where your going jeez"

" Haha i think i should be saying that to you"

I looked to see who i had bumped into this boy he was gorgeous he had bright brown eyes with dark brown hair i felt speechless my heart was beating really fast the weather turned into a sunny beautiful day out of nowhere 

" hello are you ok? i hope i didn't hurt you"

" Oh no no you didn't hurt me sorry i was just a bit angry but i'm fine now"

" I'm Jackson White and you are?"

" i'm Ruby Fall"

" Oh your the new girl here welcome i think we have the same classes together i'll take you now if you want?"

" Uh yeah yeah sure"

I felt so happy my emotions were rising my heart was beating really fast but why? was this really a new start for me a new beginning?
