Bea turned the page, she needed to finish the chapter, the hero was so close to vanquishing the villain. Another page she turned, a familiar feeling gnawing at her.
It was bad, very bad and as she looked down at herself she knew that she couldn't deny it. Her hands that had been normal just moments ago were starting to glow faintly red. The worst part was that it was coming even quicker than usual.
She packed up her stuff as she did her best to keep the power down, lock it up inside of her, but all that she ended up doing was angering the monster that was inside. She needed to get away from the crowd. She couldn't hurt anyone. Not again.
The grass around her started wilting as her power fed from its life energy. She needed to run and she needed to do it fast. So she threw her bag over her shoulder and ran, leaving nothing but wilted patches of lost life behind.
She didn't have long anymore.

This was his job. Work. Special services to the horny including all of the slimy humans with pretty faces and sinful hands. Orin, that was his name. His crimson hair was concealed with a helmet, his muscled and lean body covered in leather. He revved his bike up and it roared like a dragon in response. His grey eyes scanned the city streets, he was late, somewhat. He sped through the city obeying all of the traffic rules, to an extent. He shifted gears through a red light and turned his bike to swirl and pull a 360 to easily snuggle right into a lonely parking spot at the bright neon lit club. The name of the club was the 'Garden of Eden.' Ironic. A supposed paradise! He took in a deep breath and exhaled a puff of smoke as he lit a cigarette and placed it between his lips. He took a deep puff and walked in through the back, passing up some skimpily dressed co-workers. He snuck to his dressing room and got ready for his clients. He had a few appointments after all with the horny bastards. He wouldn't get so many customers if he didn't look so handsome. He locked his door and started to pull on the tight clothes that seemed to show every single part of him. He wore a little red bow around his neck and leather pants that hugged his crotch. They emphasized every little seductive curve on his gorgeous body. His hands were concealed in leather gloves and his hair was soon to be greased back. He tugged on an eye patch just so no one would ask questions about his scarred eye or be disgusted. He needed money and this was a good way to get a lot of it. Though, throughout the day, as he worked, he sensed something odd. His eyes glowing a light red as he looked around. He sniffed and lost focus on his job which got him a bit of a bad punishment from one of his customers. He snapped out of it when slapped hard in the cheek, his back arching as his client turned him on his stomach to keep him focused. He would investigate the delicious raw energy after the allotted time for this client.

She ran until she couldn't anymore and hid in a place where she didn't expect anyone to come. An alley littered with trash behind a place where neon seemed to be the only sign of light. At least she was far enough from the city centre to not cause any serious harm.
She thought about continuing though, but her lungs were desperately protesting against it. So she did the best option she could otherwise take. She hid out of sight, away from everybody else. At least then they would all be safe.
Her power forced itself up to the surface as she hugged herself tight. It was taking all her strength to push it down again and sadly she didn't know how long she would be able to hold on anymore like this.
She slumped against one of the dirty walls and rested her head against the stones. She didn't even want to think about what kind of diseases she would get from doing so, but at least it meant that nobody would come to look for her there. Not like anybody would ever be looking though.
A rat soon came out from one of the trash cans but before she could even attempt to scare it away, to save it's life, it had had already died at her feet and was now just a shriveled up corpse, its energy taken, taken by her.
Giving in would be so much easier, at least then the pain would stop.
Her head was on her knees as she clenched her jaws and did her best not to scream. The one that things she couldn't stop though were the tears as she prayed that her red glowing skin would be enough of warning.
~
The man sensed it come closer. The power. He worked until he was off his shift. He cleaned himself up and easily changed out of his skanky uniform. It was fun to steal energy from lustful fools- Ahem. Humans. He stepped out the back exit into the alleyway. To where his bike was and the source. This man was dark, scary, and utterly strange. His messy crimson hair covering his patched eye. A dark leather jacket and slick torn jeans covered his body. He had a pocket knife always on him and he wore heavy black boots which concealed the weapon. Though, what made him truly strange was that he wasn't dying even as he was so close to her. He followed the source of fresh power and found her. Just sitting there. "You might want to hide all that energy seeping out. Some might take advantage of it." He warned in a soft tone. Slowly crouching down and reaching out to tilt her head up. "What are you doing alone in a disgusting alley?"
~
When she heard the man approaching it was already too late. Yet she still crawled back against the wall as far as she could to get away from him. She just wanted to protect him. It wasn't safe. And yet he still crouched down in front of her.
It was almost impossible for her to believe that he was still standing, nobody had ever survived that, not when she was having an attack of this magnitude.
"H-How are you not dead?" She asked as she focused her gaze on the floor so her red eyes were hidden.
Only seconds after she asked she felt his hand on her chin and immediately she slapped it away with her sweater covered hand.
Touching was dangerous.
She quickly climbed to her feet and tried to look for a way out, but the only way she could see was a crowded street and she couldn't risk that right now.
She was stuck so she tucked her sweater over her hands even further, all so she could cover as much of her glowing skin as possible.
"Please just leave, it's not safe." She tried to plead with him, "I don't want to hurt you." And yet she was forced to watch him as he kept standing, not seeming to be harmed, but who knew how long that would last and she didn't want to find it out.
~
He took off his jacket and slowly wrapped it around her shoulders. "You can't stay out here all night. Christ." He huffed, "You're not dangerous and you aren't hurting me but you smell delicious." He murmured, taking a bit of her energy as he touched her. It was so powerful. It felt amazing...His eyes glowed a light red as he took in a deep breath.
~
She desperately tried her best to calm down but it was all in spite. How could she even with the monster that was trying to break free.
"I-I can't leave... not right now... Not when the streets are crowded like that. I-I'll kill them all... I-I can't... No... Not again." Her voice was trembling as she looked up at him and somehow... somehow she felt the pressure of the magic decreasing.
"Did you just do that?" She asked immediately, "Can you please do that again? Please, it's helping somehow." And even as she spoke she could feel herself getting weaker. The grip that her power had on her was fading involuntarily for the first time in what felt like an eternity.
~
He lightly kept his grip on her and regained himself. Even if he just took a little bit, it seemed like everything to him. He huffed and slowly grabbed her shoulders to indulge in his gluttony. His eyes glowed bright once more and he had to push himself back before he couldn't handle the power any more. "My God. What the hell are you?" He asked with a serious expression.
~
Slowly but surely there was a link that started to grow between them and as it grew, her power were starting to transfer to him. A relieved sigh soon left her when the pressure was practically gone and she was back to a level she could control.
The moment he let her go she sank to her knees, her breaths coming out in small clouds. She felt exhausted and it was the best feeling in the world.
"I could ask you the same thing, nobody has ever survived that." She laughed so softly, not quite believing yet that this wasn't a dream and as she tried to stand up again after a few seconds of catching her breath, her legs still wouldn't cooperate.
~
He found it difficult to control the bursting energy. His eyes closing for a mere moment to keep the powers down. He lightly grabbed her up and helped her to her feet again. He stared down at her and then went to his bike uneasily. "You're quite the snack, just, whoa. Where's your home?" He asked quietly, looking back to her as he turned the bike around and revved it up easily. He wanted to take her home. He could use her.
~
Bea didn't want to know what he specifically meant by 'snack' so she decided to just let it be. Hopefully it would prevent her from feeling even more awkward with that man that dares to act so freely.
"It's about a two kilometers from here." She replied instead of saying what she actually wanted to say. She could barely stand, let alone walk home so it was useless to bring it up. "It's an abandoned factory building, not many people come around there so it's ideal..."
She gave him a weak smile and held her hand against the wall for support. "I don't know if you were offering, but a ride home would be ideal." She added sheepishly, hoping that he wouldn't mind it if she tried to be a tiny bit straightforward as well.
~
He pulled her up on the back of his bike and sat forward to give some space. He then nodded, knowing exactly where the source of food was. And would be most of the time. "You should come here to the bar more often." He murmured, revving up his bike loudly. He placed her hands around his waist and checked to make sure her feet was on the pegs.
~
She held on tightly to him as she was put on the back of the bike, she had never driven on one before and was slightly afraid she might fall off. Especially with him. He didn't seem to be the kind of person that would just drive safely and abide by the rules.
"If you can keep my power level low like this, then yes, offcourse I'll come by more." She answered as she put her feet up just in time for him to drive away. "But what are you actually?" She asked curiously, "Because you can't be human... Not if you managed to survive me just now."
~
He held the bars of the bike tighter. "I'm a fire succubus. I feed off the energy of sins and that keeps me alive. And it keeps my energy recharged. I work as a prostitute just so I can get that energy." He shrugged, "Desperate humans are interesting toys." He admitted, driving off down the way to her home.
~
Bea held on tightly and if she was stronger she would have surely squeezed his intestines into his chest. Her eyes didn't open almost the whole way, because she was afraid that if she did she would have demanded to get off right that instant.
"So you are a... demon?" She asked confused. Surely such things didn't exist, believing that her power was real was already hard enough. "And you feed of energy as well?" She added and at least that part made sense, how could he otherwise have taken her power.
~
"Mhm. A demon. If you tell a soul, I will personally come and kill you." He hissed, his eyes staying on the road. "It is bad for business." He sighed, parking at her home easily. He stepped off the bike to take in a solemn breath. "What do your powers consist of?"
~
Bea got off of the bike slowly but still held onto Orin for support, she was still feeling weak. "I won't, don't worry about it, it's not like I have any friends to tell." Her tone was slightly bitter but she quickly covered it up.
As they got closer to her front door she let go of him with one hand so she could reach into her pocket for the keys.
"I don't know what my power even is.. the only thing I know about it, is that it sucks out the living energy of everything around me." She explained as she stumbled inside.
