Directly after that, Clementine had to think of
a really realistic excuse to why she wasn't able to meet her friend.

She could of said that her dog did something, but Gabe well knows that Clem is afraid of dogs and what would be unlikely would to even own one.

She woke up the next day, right on her bed. Her body positioned slightly off the bed, she sat up— checking the time. It was still early

Though she slightly forgot what happened yesterday after that kiss, she walked to the bathroom to check on her body— what if they did..

She sighed in relief, no hickies. So they didn't do it, but Louis had to do some explaining alright

Staying inside instead with her own thoughts, probably waiting for the ringing of her phone to reach her and the caller being Gabe, very dreadful

She did feel bad definitely, but it relieved the weight off her shoulders when she found out Gabe didn't wait that long until Mariana came in and took him.

She nearly tackled Louis when he was about to wake up from his sleep, but if she were to crush his chest then he'd be done for.

"Oh my goshh.." Louis hisses with sass "It's too early for violence y'knoww.." Clementine only shot him an ice cold glare

"What. Happened. Last. Night?" She folded her arms together, her eyes shot a glare at him

"Oh?" His tone immediately took a whole different route "You don't remember?" Clementine jabbed her foot into his thigh

"Ow! okay.." He exclaimed, before sitting up "We just watched some disney movies. You know, the classics."

"Are you serious?" She takes a double take, to ensure what he said was real, did she just miss a meeting with Gabe to watch some disney movies with some guy that threw her across a courtyard in 8th grade? Who got handcuffed to her for a few days, and just so happened to kiss her while he was at it?

"Yeah, If you want me to be specific— Princess and the frog, The little mermaid, Froze-"

"Look, that doesn't matter okay?" Her mouth curved in dissatisfaction "You're coming with me to meet Gabe later."

The boy with dread locks tilted his head in confusion "You're serious?"  Clementine turn away to search for her cap

"Yeah? that shouldn't be a problem, it could help you."

Louis blinked "It what way? That's just third wheeling."

"Oh come on, We're not a couple you know." Clementine's brows furrowed "It's not that deep, well— unless you preferred it if I met Gabe alone."

Louis groaned, falling back into bed "I guess I can't say no to that. Say no more, Clem. I will accompany you and that beanie boy."

"He has a name you know."

"Gabe." He corrected himself, making a smile form on the girl's face. Though he doesn't want to, picking a fight is really too much work for Louis to deal with right now in the morning.

It's after school, and Gabe was told about Louis accompanying Clementine to their meeting in the park

"Really? I kind of thought he had a distaste for me.." Gabe rubbed his elbow, a little timidly

"Nope, he was just acting up. But now he's willing to tag along, is that okay?" Clementine asks, just some last confirmation

"Oh definitely, it won't be an issue. Just actually show up this time." He joked lightheartedly

"I promise to show up this time. Anyways, I'm going to find the dude now." Clementine stated, before retreating back for the boy with dreadlocks, with Gabe silently admiring her.

It took a while to convince Louis to actually wear something casual, but not lazy. Louis did not want to waste his good fashion sense on some guy. "You can't just show up in pajamas."

"Oh yes I can." He said so proudly, marching out and reaching for the door— still in his gray pajamas

"Imagine what others would say if they saw you, especially Violet you know. You'd never hear the end of it." Clementine stated almost so casually, with her words it sounded like she cared but the tone of her voice was almost so nonchalant.

Louis trots back, wanting to change his clothes into something more him, but casual— not wanting to get tormented by his lesbianese friend (but only he can call him that and not get killed. it's a friendship thing on going)

Louis steps out with Clementine after changing into something less embarrassing to be seen in, something that isn't gray cartoon pajamas.

On the walk there, it was surprisingly silent. Nearly no words were exchanged, occasional glances to the shorter girl, reminiscing of yesterdays events. He didn't know convincing her would take just something like that, and how it was so casual that they watched some movies afterwards like nothing.

"You're going to be nice when you talk to him right?" Clementine looks at him "I don't even care if it's some fake act. Just don't give attitude,, unless you're fine with getting kneed."

"Okay, okay." A woman's words sure are powerful huh. He thought, he saw Gabe waving at them as they approached and they sat down on the patio

"Hey guys," Gabe greeted, patting down the spaces occupied so they could sit. He was friendlier when Clementine's around surprisingly. No angst like what Louis heard from some people, but this might be some thing for Clementine only

On Louis's half, watching them chat simply about someone on the internet, and then the conversation just jumping into the novels his sister was reading was definitely strange, the two conversations having zero connection with each other but it was all fine for the both of them.

Louis silently sulked on the side as they spoke, which made someone noticed eventually. Gabe averted his gaze onto him, and spoke

"Was Clem trying to cook again? She usually needs help for the top shelf." Clementine pouts at the sudden comment "Hey, I do not need help."

"Sure you do now. You could've injured yourself last time just trying to reach the flour on the top." Gabe snickered as he made that comment "It's not my fault for it being so high up."

Louis didn't answer, allowing the conversation to just take place with his presence alone.

Then it suddenly went silent, they stopped talking some how.

"I gotta ask something Louis, it's not that serious." Gabe fumbled with his hands a little before inhaling

"Are you friends with Benefits with Clementine?"

He asked, as she sat right next to him, Louis' gaze was focused on the patio table, and not on any of them, and surprisingly— It was Gabe staring at him in the eye

Shocked, Clementine spoke "Friends.. with benefits?"
