Chapter 3: Sharing My Story

Yukiko then appeared and started running with us, an unsure smile plastered on her face.

'They seem like nice people. Give them a chance, Yuki-chan.'

'Sigh. Fine.'

'Haha, now.. Yuki and Risa off to Adventure Land!'

Renisa's POV

So, right now, we're STILL running. The group kinda split up, in a way. Gon and Killua have too much stamina for their own good! I'm not as good as them, but still better than Leorio and Kurapika, so they're trailing behind me. They're actually still in earshot, though. I kinda have really advanced hearing. As in, REALLY advanced hearing. It's because my mom's an elf.

JUST KIDDING! Though, she is pretty short.. And has slightly pointy ears.. Oh god, nooooo! MY MOM IS AN ELF IN DISGUISE! *Renisa mental cough* Anyways, where was I..? OH, YEAH! So I'm somewhere close to Kurapika and Leorio. I'm not tuning in, though. I don't really care. And I'm really bored. Where is Yukiko, you might ask? She said she was going to 'check if anything suspicious is going on between Killua and Gon,' and went ahead. Pfft, I bet she just wants to see Satotz-san's face/mustache up close. "IF I'D HAD MONEY, THEN MY FRIEND WOULDN'T HAVE DIED!" Leorio cut me off. Huh? He was loud, but not THAT much. I told you, though. I decided to listen in, curious of the reason of his sudden outburst.

After a while of listening to their sad stories, Kurapika said something that surprised me. A lot.

"Renisa-chan, we know that you're eavesdropping," Kurapika pointed out. What?! How?!

"How?!" I voiced my thoughts out loud.

"Your body language is of a person who feels empathy," he stated, sounding all intelligent and ish.

I slowed down so they could catch up. When they did, Leorio asked me a question that got all the memories flooding back in to me. All the truths and facts that haunted my every day, "So what's your sad backstory?"

But, I had to tell them.. They deserved to know.. (A/N: Even though she barely knows them, but lets act like I mean this as in 'they've been through hell too.' Yeah, that.)

Yukiko's POV

These kids.. I don't get them.. Apparently, they really don't know each other, but.. How do they act so casual around each other? They.. They trust each other despite the fact that they just met.. They.. It's just.. I don't understand..

But... I trust them too. I don't know why. I will let them see me, but not just yet.. Not just yet..

Renisa's POV

"I.. I was kidnapped.. I was ten when I was walking home from the school fair. I suddenly.. Saw a flash of black then.. nothing. I was knocked out unconscious. When I woke up, I was lying on a hospital bed. I asked the nurse about what happened, and she told me that she didn't know, except that a boy just rushed in, carrying me and asking for help.
