I finally approached a cluster of ships and boats. A community. I steered into a line of similarly sized sailboats to mine. They all led up to a sort of floating dock, where people could bring the fish they'd caught and get paid for them.
After a while, my boat was at the front of the line. I grabbed my cooler and set it down on the dock. The woman there opened up the cooler and sighed at the sad sight that was my pile of fish. She picked them up one by one and weighed each one on a scale. She split them up into three groups based on size and type; BAIT, FOOD, and SUPPLIES. I didn't get a whole lot that went in food. They were just too scrawny. The lady then handed me a small wad of money, which I immediately pocketed. Then, I started to steer away.
I stopped at a couple of small stores, bought some more food and fishing supplies, and then started to steer away again. The sun was lowering again, so I made myself a quick dinner of fish and crackers.
That's what dinner usually was.
