TODDLER DAYS
Long long time agoWhen I had never felt sore
Less bed ridden
And more self driven
Blooming mornings and rosy evenings
Kids screaming then soundly sleeping
Long braids and neat uniforms
Get set ready like a unicorn
5 rupee icecream in those narrow lanes
With little surprises and little complaints
Playing London bridge falling down
And ringa ringa roses round and round
Being spacey and heedless
Without any nights sleepless
When days seemed like years and years felt like decades
Being stubborn and no words obeyed
Those tender remarks by elders
Damn now I respect the hustlers
Doing what I liked
Without any fright
Sneaking into the fridge to cool myself in summers
And mummy freaking out at what she discovers
Being chocoholic was not a problem
Where a thug life was out of boredom
Children's day on 14th November
An epic day of fun , cheer and laughter
Vibes that will never fade
Engraved within like an arcade
