Today

Today :

I might not have a  fancy  home decor with luxurious amenities

But I'm contended with a  small comfy house providing warmth day and night daily

I might not have an expensive array of  colourful pens , brushes , palettes to paint

But damn that one pencil does not stop me  to let my skills drain

I might not have exquisite ingredients to make delicious food

But today just eggs flour and sugar will suppress my craving for food

I might not have designer made dresses to wear on Eid

But I am happy wearing the simple dressing that helped me explore many fashionable tricks

I might not have an ombre coloured hairstyle or pastel pink lowlights

But I find  black entangled hair more soothing to my eye in sunlight

I might not own popular makeup brands or nail art kits to afford

Yet that saves me from the fuss of nail    removers , injury or sanitising which I abhor

I might not own an espresso machine or order a regular from Starbucks

But an unfiltered homemade  coffee tastes just feels cafe level right with no bucks

I might not update a status everyday to show off

But I'm well aware of not suffering from an inferiority complex to knock off

Today I might not have the best of days

But today I'm thankful enough to realise this alive well ahead .....
