Fluttershy woke up and yawned. She didn't feel very well. I trudged over to a cupboard and got a thermometer. She had a fever!
"Oh no," Fluttershy gasped in her soft voice, "Who will take care of the animals?"
Fluttershy's pet (or, one of very, very many pets) rabbit, Angel must have heard her say that because he told her, "Don't worry, we'll help you get better, we'll take care of ourselves!" Angel hopped up and down.
"But, why? I couldn't let you do that for me!" Fluttershy replied. Fluttershy was a kind, quiet, shy, caring pegasus pony. Fluttershy could talk to animals and had a special bond with every animal she meets. Previously, she had even became more brave towrds dragons, which were the only animals that had really scared her... but... almost everything scared Fluttershy.
"Are you kidding!?" Angel shouted in rabbit. "You do almost everything for us! Taking care of you is the least we could do in return!"
"No, I couldn't let you..." Fluttershy coughed, and then sneezed, and then coughed again.
"Please," Angel said, "We want to help you." A bunch of other animals gathered around him.
"Oh, okay," Fluttershy yawned. She crawled into her bed, brushing her bubblegum pink hair out of her face with a pale yellow hoof.
"Thanks," Angel said. He hopped out of the room.
Fluttershy wondered how the animals were actually going to take care of her. Well, she figured, they were pretty smart. She was sure they would figure something out.
Angel hopped back into the room. A hummingbird flew in behind him, carrying a bell.
"Ring this," The hummingbird chirped, "If you need anything. Anything at all."
"Okay," Fluttershy smiled weakly. Man, did she feel bad. Her nose was stuffed, her throat ached, her stomach churned, and her head was pounding. Not to meantion her temperature was about 102.5 degrees Feirenheight.
She rang the bell. A squirrel scampered in. "What do you need?" He chattered.
"Um, could I have some honey tea for my throat?" Fluttershy whispered.
"Sure thing!" The squirrel smiled and left.
Downstairs, In the kitchen of Fluttershy's treehouse-cottage...
"Fluttershy wants honey tea!" The squirrel called.
"You heard the squirrel! Honey tea! Let's go!!" Angel shouted.
A sparrow attempted to carry a mug from the cupboard to the table. The poor sparrow couldn't carry the weight of the heavy mug. She dropped it and it crashed to the floor, just missing a frog, who lept away just in time.
"Sorry!" she tweeted.
"It's fine," the frog croaked.
This time, a macaw got the mug and set it on the wooden table. A Sugar Glider was boiling the water on the stove in a pot.
Angel was happy, everything seemed to be in order... for now. Wait, why did Angel's rabbit nose smell...
Smoke. Fluttershy jerked up from her nap. The animals... were they okay? What was happening down there? She rang the bell again.
A bat flew in. "Yes?"
"Is everything alright downstairs?" Fluttershy wondered. She also wanted to know about her tea, but that was beside the point.
"Oh, yes! Everything is under control!" The bat clicked. She flew away.
Fluttershy hoped the bat was right.
"You! Yes you, Sugar Glider! Turn off the stove! The water is boiled enough! It's smoking in here!" Angel yelled.
"Whoops!" The Sugar Glider shrieked. He turned off the stove. The smoke and steam went away.
"Make some tea!" Angel called out to no one in particular.
A gecko climbed up to a jar of tea leaves and nudged it, which accidentally fell to the floor, smashing the jar and scattering tea leaves everywhere. "Aw nuts!" The gecko said.
An owl swooped by and picked up some tea leaves and dropped it into the pot.
No one did anyhing about the mess on the floor, or, the mug that was also on the floor from before.
A monkey took the bottle of honey and poured some into the tea, missing the cup. A lot. A toucan mixed the tea and splashed a little on the counter.
Then, some birds carefully placed the mug onto a box turtle's back. The turtle carried it to Fluttershy's room.
"Thank you!" Fluttershy said. She took the tea and placed it on her nightstand. The animals left. They were so kind. FLuttershy drank her tea and took a nice, long nap...
When she woke up about an hour later she felt much beter. She went downstairs to check on the animals. As she did, she noticed a trail of what semmed to be tea. She entered the kitchen to make herself a snack and noticed the mess. There was honey and tea everywhere, shards of porcelin and glass on the floor, water on the stove, and tea leaves stuck to just about anything.
"Oh no! I hope one of them were hurt!" Fluttershy cried.
"Relax," Angel hopped from his bed in the living room, "No one is hurt. Would you like me to help you clean up?"
"Sure," Fluttershy smiled.
And they cleaned up the kitchen together.
