Moon gave two soft knocks on Y/N's door around 2:00 PM as she stated before in her text. There was several moments of waiting and Y/N did not answer so Moon knocked again and waited. "Well maybe they aren't home. Or they are sleeping." Moon thought aloud, trying to make up reasonable scenarios as to why Y/N was not answering. But horrible anxious thoughts started to cloud her mind as per usual. Moon knocked twice again, more frantically and harder. Still no answer. Moon reached out to twist the silver doorknob to see if it was open. She knew it wasn't a good idea to go into someone's house without permission but Moon's mind started to wander into dangerous territory and a sense worrisome feeling started to set in her stomach.

The knob twisted, indicating the door was indeed unlocked and open. Moon pushed and the door opened and stepped inside, closing the door behind her. Everything seemed okay at first glance. Nothing was out of place. Nothing seemed wrong at all, but the empty and wrong feeling in Moon's stomach only grew heavier as she made her way throughout Y/N's house. Moon checked every single room until she came to the last room to investigate, Y/N's bedroom. It was slightly cracked. Moon peered in. It was rather dark inside the room as far as Moon could tell so she opened the door to a halfway point, the door creaking because she was very slow at doing this. She turned on the light switch which was conveniently located right next to the door.

The room was just fine. Just as fine as the other rooms in the house, absolutely nothing wrong. Except for a red sticky note stuck to the window pane. Moon cautiously stepped inside the bedroom, heading straight for the sticky note. She plucked it from the window carefully:

Dearest Moon,

Rosswood Park, Creek Trail, Tunnel, 6:00 PM. Not a minute later or she gets gutted like a fish. We expect you to be ready and to not do anything idiotic as per usual. If you are followed, she's dead. If you do ANYTHING we don't like, she's fucking dead. We'll be waiting...

With love, H̶̞̿̍̈́͒͝⁰̵̻͎̩͔̱̼̰͑̍̑͒̉͛̕͝⁰̵̢̲̻͍̞͖͔̔đ̵̡̗̻͎̾̈́̈́́̈́ï̷̢̢̛͕͓͛͌͛̈́̊̀̄̋̂̎̕͜ə̴͓̪͓̀̈̌͊̀́̚͠ ̸̜̬̺̥̠͉̗̫͕̖͓̏̎͋̈̓&̷͇̯͎̾͆̓͗͘ ̸̞͔͈̝̱͚͈̲̓M̷̯͂͆̊͗͆͋̌͌̋̾͝æ̸̗̥̥̍̔̍͝§̶͖̞̖̑̊̆k̷͓̯͊̕y̷̧͓͓̼̼͚̤̝͈̬̭̖̑̇͌͐̇̊̇̄̒̕

Moon couldn't quite read the signatures but it wasn't necessary, because she already knew who they were. Those same vile fuckers she's been dealing with for a long time now. Well she didnt know their names, she just knew them. She was really tired of this. She knew they would do this, she predicted it. Yet, she couldn't really do anything to prevent it. Moon had tried to warn Y/N but it was not enough. Nothing was ever enough and they always won. Always.

Moon crumpled the red sticky note in her hand and shoved it into the pocket of her vest rather aggressively. She then grabbed her phone out of her back pocket, checking the time. 4:13 PM already. She had about two hours to figure out what the fuck she was going to do and how the fuck she was gonna get there on time.

"Thanks for the ride dad." Moon thanked the ginger before exiting the car with a sharp inhale of air. She closed the door and turned around, waving Jeremy goodbye before he drove off back home to get ready for work.

After Jeremy was out of sight, Moon gathered herself all up the best she could. She had to be brave. She had to be smart. She had to be courageous. This was it. This was endgame. Moon breathed deeply as she began descending along the creek trail, towards the tunnel. The sky was dim, covered by fluffy clouds mixed with orange, purple, and pink variations. Birds flew above in the sky and the tree leaves above ruffled gently in the soft breeze. "I'm coming Y/N..."
