It was safe to say that Josh was a generally happy person but he still has his low days. Some were not that bad but some made him feel like he was at the bottom of the earth. The feeling that he was nothing, that he was a screw up, would suffocate him and all he wanted to do was die. It was even worse when he had a concert on days like this. When all he wanted to do was crawl into his bed and hide from the world, he had to put on a show and be happy then go out and hear how he is such a great role model and how he's saved everyone's lives. He would tell the girls the same thing every time, that he didn't do anything to save their lives, but they were all so hardheaded and believed he was a prophet. Thus reminding him that he was nothing like these girls made him out to be. He still made stupid mistakes, he still did things he wasn't proud of.

It was during these days that he would retire early and let the other guys handle the rest of the crowd. Josh didn't care if they thought he was rude, none of them knew what was going on in his head. With a can of Coke Zero and a cigarette, Josh would curl into his bunk and calm down. Even though he had promised the guys he would quit smoking, he really needed a cigarette to calm himself down. He would think about everything in his life until his privacy curtain is pushed back and Matt, his bandmate and somewhat of a lover, crawled in with him, taking the cigarette out of his hand and taking a drag.

"The fans seem to get crazier and crazier with every show." Matt mumbled around the burning stick in his mouth. Josh didn't respond but he didn't need to. Matt already knew what was going through his head. After a few more puffs, Matt put out the cigarette in Josh's half finished coke. He turned so He and Josh were face to face and took his head in his hands.

"Those fans don't know a single thing about you. You're possibly the worst person to be like. The only thing they're right about is you being so fucking beautiful." Matt told him honestly. Josh looked down, his a small, soft smile on his face. Matt always knew what to say.
